Your Superstitions

I always sit in one particular seat if I'm watching United at home, we always lose when I sit in one seat and win when I sit in the other.

Also, I always feel United have more luck when I the game is on ITV, so I watched the CL final on ITV. There are countless examples of united = itv > sky.:p.

and thats how they win it. :p

Ste, take a note.

Usy, I'm a hard-boned Atheist. I see things as they are, I don't do superstitions, like I don't do conspiracies.

Not that I belive in superstition stuff, but it's linked to Magic and Religion too much. Don't you belive that England won Ashes 05 because they were lucky and things like that? (not saying it's the actual case :p sorry). Or this got more to do with spiritual beings etc? (get what I mean?).

No, everyone gets lucky, everyone gets unlucky. Although luck still has input from the people who get the luck, it follows a logical process still.

As for your last question, I don't believe in spiritual beings, so no.

If you applied a system of probability to a scenario, say your team is on 111-0. You either stand on one leg (Sheps!) or act normally. You have 2 events, (you lose a wicket on that score, or you don't).

So:

Stand on one leg - wicket falls
Stand normally - wicket falls
Stand on one leg - no wickets lost
Stand normally - no wickets lost

Being superstitious controls nothing but your psychological state.

so you claim :p. lol.

Well, but for example if you see the example given on Man United and ITV.

He may think that ITV is lucky for his team (not that his team is lucky that day winning that game). It does not have anything to do with God thinking "ITV" shows more religious programmes so ITV is gonne make them win. It's just lucky for the team, so it gives "luck".
Is that in his mind thinking or it's true, it's up to you to believe. ( i don't)

No, Usy, I know its not true. It's just if I watched on sky, and we lost, you'd still have that little niggle in the back of the mind.

I believe if you continually drop things all morning its gonna be a bad day.

Whenever India is winning a match, no one is allowed to move from their seat. Especially if its a close game.

Its bad if someone asks where you are going when you are about to leave the house or something. My grandpa says its bad luck so I follow it too.

Why should it be bad luck? What if you are leaving town or something and don't say anything? Your family won't know where you have gone!!!

I'm sorry but it sounds like a stupid thing to say.

The biggest superstition, I know in Pakistan and my own Family is that whenever you see a cat near you’re house crying, something bad is gonne happen. Actually my granny told me 2 days before my grandpa was sick and was about to die, there was a cat in front of the house crying that night.

Animals can also feel earthquakes before they occur (it’s true right?).

Thank God, no wild cats in sweden :D.

Before the main earthquake are lots of tremors, animals are sensitive enough to hear/feel these, we aren't.

Maybe they can feel death before it happens? and they cry to inform you?
