to be fair he is the icon of the codemasters cricket game and is the one player the whole world appreciates as well...

Spot on Azul. They had to stick with Lara as it links it to their quality games on the mega drive. A user base had been build up previously so by sticking with it, it makes it easier to re-attract the previous market, whilst since he is a world wide star, doesn't detract from any potential selling power anyway.

India is however a different kettle of fish, using a current star of their team is likely to sell copies regardless.
