Zimbabwe Academies League


This afternoon I designed an additional league that will run at the at the same time as the Zimbabwe Premier League.

Each team in the Zimbabwe Premier League now has an academy team and players

Mashonaland Eagles - Harare Eagles Academy
Mountaineers - Manicaland Mountaineers Academy
Mid West Rhinos - Midlands Rhinos Academy
Southern Rocks - Masvingo Academy
Triangle Tigers - Zimbabwe Under 19s
Matabelaland Tuskers - Bulawayo Tuskers Academy

Squads and fixtures are easy to find on post #2

Matches will start during round two of the Zimbabwe Premier League


This league will only be for local players. So you may be wondering how does this team help me?


1. The players in your academy side are only available for you during this season
2. Out-of-form locals can be dropped to the academy team, so they can hopefully improve and return to the squad
3. At the middle point of the season, players from your academy team can swap with players in your main squad, until the end of the season.


*So during the first 5 rounds of the Zimbabwe Premier League you can drop local players from your squad, so they play games in the Zimbabwe Academies League. (they are still available to play in the ZPL.)

After five rounds have been completed, players from your academy squad can be swapped with players in your squad.

During the last five rounds players again can be sent to play in the Zimbabwe Academies League.


The Zimbabwe Academies League will run during rounds 2, 3, 5, 7 & 9 of the ZPL

Thanks for this awesome addition. I'll be personally managing our Masvingo Academy and @Umair2000 (and myself) will look after the ZPL team.
