so anyone go there or plannin to go there???

i am probably gonna apply in one of them (maybe oxford) but have 1/1000 chance of gettin an offer tbh:rolleyes:

you need to do all these test as well...that Thinking Skills Assessment and STEP as well for some people...its jus gna be too much after all the burden of college already

I'm going to try for Cambridge, but I doubt I'll get in. If I did it'd probably only be due to them wanting a more diverse section of people going to the university, and coming from a rural county I'd probably be a token out of towner.

Tbf, who gives a damn bout an Oxford Comma, Jamie?

Screw Oxbridge. Manchester is where you should go. Get a good degree and still get to actually have a life. Just wish I could get 3 A's to have gone there :p

i mean if you get 3 As why would you go to manchester rather than oxbridge...i mean it sounds better when you say "oh i graduated from oxford" rather than the other way around

The only downside is you'd be surounded by Mancs like Joe that pistol-whipping Iranian farmer and Phil that baquette-stealing Frenchman.

I love you and our MSN convos, Will ;)

I've got a good 2/3 years before i have to decide all this Uni business. I'll probs go Norwich like my sister did. Get the best gigs :D

I reckon the Oxbridge thing is all hype. My school pushed people to apply who were predicted C's and D's just so they could say they had a record number of Oxbridge applicants. I refused to apply there as I really didn't like the Oxbridge attitude and it hacked me off that because I was predicted good A levels the school told me I should be applying there.
An Oxbridge education isn't the be all and end all. Socially you're much better off at Bristol, Leeds, York, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham etc.

Crikey Colin, start 'em early or what?! :p

Is that true that you have to write big essays about yourself to get into these big Uni's.

And the other guy, thinks, "Cock" ;)

Meh, I'm expecting worse at B'ham :p

Finally I've managed to agree with Colin on a social issue :p

You have to do weird tests to get in and answer dumb questions like what is the point in a potato. I'm obviously to stupid to understand it ;)

Yeah, a personal statement. It has to be 500 words doesn't it?

I agree that if you're also looking for a social life, you should go outside of London but I'm not sure how many red-brick Unis there are outside of London other than Bristol and Durham.
