Andy D'urso

Maybe they should get better then, instead of scummy Championship level football ;) Also Newcastle get constantly screwed by refs. It is part and parcel of the game

Spot on, someone get this started.

We need a group on here and a petition for the justice for the East Anglians. This is sure to do the trick.

You do it, Mr Moderator :p

I am not saying it is not part and parcel of the game. This one referee, however, has been screwing the East Anglian clubs especially for a few years now. I believe Sheffield Wednesday sent a letter to The FA about him once. Maybe it is about time Norwich and Ipswich did the same.

Am I missing something here? I understand the childish and moronic jibes at East Anglians, but is there some sort of conspiracy that I am unaware of? Please, if you have nothing useful to say on the subject, don't post in this thread and we would all be much happier.

No Lee we just can't see why a ref would hate East Anglia. You are all such great people :D

English referees are sub-par, I'm afraid. You're just unfortunate that your club doesn't have the monetary power to influence a referee to dick over every other team in the league.

Note: This isn't directed at Manchester United and Rob 'United's opponents' Styles

In the wise words of Jade Goody, "East Anglia - that's abroad!"

Norwich have done all they can by filing an appeal against the red card, dished out by Mr 'Corrupt' D'urso. It won't be accepted because we are not in the Premier, but we had to do it.

He's just a shite ref, not biased against East Anglia. No one cares enough about East Anglia to have a grudge against us. He's just an awful ref.

seeing as D'urso is now deemed not a good enough referee for the Premier. Yet somehow he now gets Championship work
That's called demotion isn't it? You might not like it, or him but the fact is it's a level down from the Premiership. If he still can't perform in the Championship then perhaps he'll get demoted to League One and so on.

Didn't see the incident in question that you are ranting on about but it strikes me that all the Championship clubs will have to deal with D'urso refereeing their matches. I have no idea if he is biased against East Anglian teams but I don't think he got demoted from top flight because of a bias against East Anglian clubs, more likely is he just isn't very good.

If you are going to start a thread for every bad ref in the Championship then you will seriously be here all day.

Shock horror! I didn't give the appeal system enough credit. Norwich won the appeal and Doherty will be allowed to play on Saturday!

I know there are a lot of poor referees in the Championship, there are plenty in the Premier as well. I don't know where that leaves me on the technology debate. Would like to see glaring errors corrected, but then again I quite like the human factor. A bit like cricket. Of course I won't start a thread on all of them, just this one because he is corrupt. The others are poor at their jobs, not corrupt like him.

I won't start a thread on all of them, just this one because he is corrupt.

Any evidence for that claim? Has he been accepting money behind closed doors? Or is it just because he gave some poor decisions and little East Anglia are getting all their brothers, brothers and well brothers ;) to complain?

There's tons of referee's out there that are poor. Actually I'm going to start a referee thread. Ireland has horrible referee's, they are the pits. Every game you see a different name and you just sigh.

Whenever Cork City play a Dublin team there's a Dublin referee reffing it. That'd be the equivalent of a Mancunian ref reffing Man U v Arsenal (Bound to be biased one way or the other) and it's a joke. Anyway, referee thread going to be created
