Okay guys, I thought I'd share with you all the work I've done for ICC09. I basically sent all the Kolpak players back to their own countries, then axed every single English player from their counties. This means that they'll all go into a big auction. The game will be even for everyone in the future, as I set every team's budget to 900k + prize money. Enjoy.

How To Use
- Download the file
- Extract the files to C:\Program Files\Childish Things\International Cricket Captain 2009\saves
- Play the game

I hope it works, and you enjoy the freedom of shaping your own side from the very beginning of the game.

*I can't remember if this is in Easy or Hard mode. Hopefully easy.

So have you done this for all the counties? If you have that's a pretty decent effort.

Actually I just realised it doesn't really matter except for the name.

When I have some time I'll give this a shot.

Nothing. Cook is opening the batting for my team atm.

Leicestershire - 380 all out

Boyd Rankin leads the way with 6/94 from 23 overs while Swann helps with 3/112 and Wright takes 1/49. Alastair Cook and Eoin Morgan make their way to the crease.

So you keep the ones you already had?

Wait. What do you mean. I signed Cook who had an England contract.

Northamptonshire - 368 all out

Half centuries from Cook (61), Cobb (68) and Martin-Jenkins (79) guided the Northants to 368. 9/11 players scored in double figures, and 7/11 players scored above 20. Shahzad hit some important runs at the end with 32*.

But then couldn't you just sign everyone with an English contract first round?

I could of but I didn't realise you could sign more than 3 players a round until the 6th round.

Leicestershire - 214 all out

Graeme Swann and Imran Arif ripped apart the Leicestershire batting order. It wasn't good when they were at 3/177 but Swann and Arif took all the wickets from then on to bowl them out for 214, 7/37 in that period. Graeme Swann was very unlucky not to get a 5 wicket haul, taking 4/38 from 20.4 overs but had another 4 LBW appeals, 4 played and misses and a catchable shot, getting huge amounts of turn. Imran Arif meanwhile was very accurate, taking 4/60 from 17 overs, all wickets out LBW. Shahzad and Martin-Jenkins took the first 2 wickets to take 1/23 and 1/43 respectively.

I suppose that's one flaw in this. Maybe if everyone had their english contract removed before the auction screen it would work better

Chewie added 14 Minutes and 42 Seconds later...

I removed all England contracts and got this team:

Didn't have enough money left to get a decent international player.

Why does it matter that much? England contracts don't mean too much. And plus, you have 850K to spend or something so I don't think you'd be able to buy all the best players although I'd say you could buy a full starting XI of them.

Northamptonshire - 230/4

Eoin Morgan batted excellently, scoring 104* to guide the team to a strong victory. Graeme Swann given a promotion to #4 scored 57, giving himself the MOTM award with his 4/38, 3/112 and 22. Luke Wright got the team across the line with 41*. A good win to start the season.

Wait. When you bid on them doesn't it mean that it's impossible to outbid someone else? Or do you still have to pay an amount to get them on your team? Either way, it means you have more money in the second season to spend on players.

I have to say though this was an excellent idea. It is in normal mode, not easy mode which is good.

So you don't have to spend any money to get the English Contracted players? Because they don't require any pay, do they still require a purchase cost?

It's only for Northants, although isn't there a way of changing your county with the Hex Editor?
