HANGMAN
by Abhishek Sharma (MAD-Sharma)

So here is my first game for Android, Hangman.
You all would be familiar with Hangman, and so I don't need to explain it.

Compatibility: Android 2.2 (Froyo) and above
Size: 1.53mb

The features of this Android game are:

- Scores, wrong attempts left, attempted letters, and the hangman word all visible at a glance

- Several categories of games to choose from (Cricket, Bollywood, World Countries, World Capitals, India Capitals, Football, etc)

- Option to select from a variety of fonts

- Three different difficulty levels, namely, Easy, Normal, and Hard

- 'I Know It' feature to enter the word at one go

- An option to research on the word if the player fails to identify it

- Quick toggle to enable and disable sound effects

- Simple, light and enjoyable

#2: Encrypter Decrypter - My second Android App

Encrypter Decrypter is my second Android app. Again, this is a simple app but does what it needs to do perfectly.

Encrypter Decrypter - My second Android app

This app can convert your text in a reasonably secure text.

Note: Saved files are saved in /sdcard/EncryptorDecryptor/Encrypted_Texts

Compatibility: Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) and above

------------------------------------------------

Features:

- Encrypt and the encrypted text is directly copied to your clipboard

- You can directly share the encrypted text too using Email, Facebook, WhatsApp, SMS, etc.

- For large text files, the files can be opened using a file manager and the encrypted text can also be saved to text files (This is the reason why the read and write permissions are required by the app)

- The new Tabbed UI (swipe-able tabs)

Please check it out. I hope you like it.

#1: ArVoSurAr Calculator - My first Android App

This is my first Android app. Thanks to all the tutorials over the web, it wasn't too difficult to get started with Android programming.

This app is called ArVoSurAr Calculator. I know the name sounds weird. ArVoSurAr stands for Area, Volume and Surface Area.
What this app basically does is calculate the three above mentioned values of various shapes as per the input of the user. A pretty simple app to make and simpler to try it out on your phone.

So please do check it out. Don't expect something fancy out of the app, it's a basic program but performs the given task very well.

I was planning to upload in on the Play Store but Google charges $25 one-time charge to publish apps. I'm in no mood to spend that.
So I have uploaded the app on the GetJar Store and even on Dev-Host. You can download it from either of the two places.

The application has few basic shapes to calculate values for. I may think of expanding it, but my first priority to learn new things rather than just expanding shapes which will be good for this app but not good for my knowledge.

For a start, I'm quite satisfied with it. I hope you like it too. :)

Anyways, here are a few screenshots of the app. The GetJar and Dev-Host links to download the app are available below the screenshots.

APK files cannot be attached on PlanetCricket, so please download it from either of the above mentioned two links :)

Looking very good. How long did it take you to make? Can you confirm that you received the PM I send about the app itself? Thanks.

This looks nice mate. Can you please do it for BlackBerry OS7?
I'm still a learner, and among the mobile operating systems currently concentrating only on Android. Maybe in future if I learn languages, I can do that. For now, unfortunately I can't do it for BB. :)

None of them I guess. Only Java. At least the apps I have developed are purely on Java.

Oh. I misread. I thought you said you developed using Objective C.
Is there any software / tool useful for android app development?
