SA still strong. My money is still firmly palced on a draw. Unless the captains set up an agreement to try and get a result ;)

Like Dravid saying they will bat for 60 overs and give SA that target in 30/40 overs or whatever...

Yea the game is petering out into a draw. Gibbs looks to be playing very well and hopefully he can get to his century. Great pres Suren, keep the great work up ;)

Can India Bounce Back?
( Harbhajan threatens SA with two quick wickets )

Well, the things were looking very safe for the home team with Gibbs and Prince going very well. Infact, the test match was looking to go 100% for a draw. It was when the things were going very fine for SA, the turbanator kept the hopes of Indian team by getting rid of both the well settled batsmen in quick successions. This inturn, applied massive pressure on SA.

Gibbs,The Most Needed Wicket for India!

gibbsoutlo9.jpg

Gibbs was trying to look bit aggressive in his approach. This changed Dravid's mind to keep a bit defensive field for this well settled man.

In one of the deliveries of Harbhajan, Gibbs tried to play an lovely leg glance which looked like an excellent shot.. Unfortunately, the ball went too low in air and straight away, landed in hands of Tendulkar. Sachin kept his concentration very well indeed to take that sharp catch. It went like a rocket to Tendulkar's hands. :p

Gibbs also thought that it was a boundary but was very much suprised to see the fielders starting to celebrate his dismissals. Even after that, Gibbs remained unmoved looking at both the umpires. He wants them to refer to third umpire.. but umpires were quite convinced about the catch taken by Tendulkar.. Gibbs was filled with lot of frustration and walked back to dressing room nodding his head.

This was the huge blow for SouthAfrica as Gibbs looked very well settled.. Getting dismissed at this stage is what SA does not want. The entire Indian team continued the celebrations while Boucher walked in as the new batsman joining Prince.

Turbanator's Magic Continues!

Soon after, Harbhajan suprised everyone with the another wicket of Prince near the Tea time. After the departure of Gibbs, Dravid brought back the attacking field set and was strongly convinced with continuation of spin twins at both the ends.

Harbhajan, in one of the overs to Prince, used his variations cleverly. He bowled three normal off-breaks which Prince was quite contented to defend it.. Immediately, Bhaji tested Prince with straight arm ball that decieved Prince very well to such a extent that the batsmen tried to well left that delivery.. the ball failed to make any contacts either with bat or pads.. and travelled towards the leg stumps.. The ball striked the leg stumps resulting in clean bowled. Prince was stunned as he expected those normal offbreaks but was tricked well by this arm ball that costed him this dismissal. Prince stood there staring at the stumps, celebrations, umpire and his partner.

Meanwhile, Dravid and his team were much delighted for getting another breakthrough before Tea. They continued the celebrations while Prince returned to the pavilion with great disappointments. Pollock arrived as the new batsman joining Boucher. The spin-twins continued the remaining part of the session.. and soon after, umpire removed the bails off asking the players to leave for Tea break, Both the batsmen are still yet to get off the mark.

Well, India has made a terrific comeback in last few minutes of this session. With just 4 wickets in hand, SA still have the possibility of getting followed-on. Pollock-Boucher is the last recognised batting pair with 60 more runs to get for avoiding follow-on. Dravid wud be pleased with his bowlers for last few minutes and definitely wud be looking to get a collapse after Tea to put pressure on the home team.. Meanwhile SouthAfrica wud be looking to cross that follow-on margin first by some means... i.e, The battle is still going on between these two teams.. Have to wait and see what happens after Tea..Stay Tuned! :)

SA : 268/6 ( 107 Overs,1st Innings )
M.Boucher : 0*(27)
S.Pollock : 0*(12)

A.Prince : 27(64) Dismissed by Harbhajan.
H.Gibbs : 74(172) Dismissed by Harbhajan.

India Lead by 260 Runs.

This Session : 66 Runs, 3 Wickets.

India : 528/5(Dec) ( 1st Innings )

Fantastic from Harbhajan and disappointing to lose Gibbs for South Africa. However, they should still easily get past the follow on target.

Great work Suren.

Great bowling from Harbhajan, SA's lower order is becoming exposed. Couple more wickets and India can increase their chance of winning this match.

Nice ray of hope provided by bhajji...

Boucher and Pollock seem to have dried up... very unlike of them!!

Eagerly waiting for next update... Good Work Suren.

( With Jonty Rhodes & Ravi Shastri )

R.S : Good evening all and Welcome to the Tea Time Talk! We have with us,as usual, one of the great fielding machines, " Mr.Jonty Rhodes " to have a brief discussion on this match situation.

R.S : Good evening Jonty.. Nice to have you again on this Tea-time show. Well, whats running in ur mind about the current match situation?

J.R : I was shocked with the things that happened in last few minutes before Tea. Some unnecessary attempts have created unnecessary panic among SouthAfrican dressing room now.

R.S : Yes, it might be turning point of this match as well. But with still, Pollock and Boucher at the crease, Whom do you think that they have a upper hand in this match?

J.R : As per the current situation, Indian spinners do have a good chance.. One more wicket will expose the tail. But around 30 minutes ago, the game was looking to end in draw for sure. These things happen in the game of cricket though.

R.S : Still, in these good batting conditions, the draw is looking favourable. Lets see.. And now, are you happy with Smith's knock of 30+ as he seemed to get some form?

J.R : Certainly, it was a good knock from SouthAfrican skipper compared to last few poor knocks. We are disappointed though for not being able to convert that into a huge one which should have the changed the entire scenario.. i.e, there wud have been no panic! ;)

R.S : So panic button pressed already in SouthAfrican dressing room? :p

J.R : :laugh Yes, after the dismissal of Prince. It has created more pressure on both the batsmen(Pollock and Boucher) too.. which is quite obvious from their scores(0*) after having played many deliveries.

R.S : Yes, they had a clear intentions of doing nothing other than defending. But going too much of defensive itself will cause more trouble..isn't it Jonty?

J.R : Well, considering the situation when they arrived.. it was about 1 run with the loss of two wickets.. it forced them to go into defensive mood due to pressure of not loosing another one before Tea.

R.S : So whats your predictions on this match before we have you again on this show tomrw?

J.R : Both these batsmen have to take their own time in playing the spinners.. and should take the team to cross that follow-on margin.. If SA cross the follow-on margin, i don't see anything other than a draw.. But its not going to be easy though.

R.S : Well, lets see Jonty how the match goes from here.. So, its going to be interesting to see what happens in the final session of Day 4. Can the bowlers get those 4 wickets within next 60 runs or batsmen can cross that margin... Have to wait and see! Well, Thank you Jonty for joining us in this short Tea Break and we will catch up with you again for Tomorrow's tea time.

So now, we will take a short break and while coming back, we would take you LIVE directly to the first ball of the final session of Day4's play. See you in next Tea Time talk with Jonty! Till then Bye from here :)

J.R :
Bye :)

India Vs SA ( Final Session,Day4, LIVE )

India is having some miracle , SA now in trouble  suddenly all things have changed .Cmon Saffers dont blow it now  Great story with full of mystery and nice presentation Suren bhai

Nice tea time talk. This session will be the decisive one of the match. If India can skittle South Africa out very quickly and make them follow on, then they still have a chance. However, if South Africa pass the follow on target then its a nailed on draw!

Great work Suren.

Nice teal time talk with Rhodes there, but should he have revelaed the fact that the "panic button" is already pressed :p ??

but should he have revelaed the fact that the "panic button" is already pressed :p ??

:happy Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments and views :happy
