Congrats to new Staff

I think that if anybody was appointed there would be definate reasons behind being added. tbh I don't really care wether people think that I should or shouldn't have got the position. I have posted lots and been a regular member for a while as are all the others. Just because someone thinks they don't deserve it doesn't mean that they aren't going to be a good moderator or aren't going to be a better member as mod.

Overall I think everyone is intitled to their opinion but maybe keep the comments about this subject to themselves in order not to insult anyone who has been promoted.

Indeed treva, The admins who chose the staff members see what qualities that person brings to the table.

Its not anyone's place insult the new staff.

Just goes to show how much butt-licking goes on these days then...

These sort of comments are uncalled for. When we decide to make somebody a mod, we look at certain things regular forum members may or may not see. By making the assumption that you are in that post all you're really doing is making yourself look like an ass.

Congratulations to all new staff. We're sure you'll all do a great job and, as a word of comfort to those who felt they've missed out, keep up the good work and it might happen next time.

I don't necessarily think that if you post more you will become a mod. Because a lot of members post a lot but half of it is spam.

I also have my doubts over some of the staff members but I believe in them and I will give them a chance to prove me wrong. Good job admins. To all whose who feel hard done just keep on trying and who knows maybe next time.

I think that comment is a bit uncounted for Culli. Most of these members who got promoted deserve it. But with an attitude like that you can't expect to get promoted

Well "better luck next time" is the classic way of saying "You weren't selected now and you never will be".

Without commenting on individual cases there are plenty of past and present staff who have been overlooked in the past and impressed us sufficiently with their attitude and determination to make us reconsider.

There was a similar situation with sid19840. He threatened to leave PC if he wasnt made a mod and he was? Is this true or was it a conspiracy?

yes but people who spam are not going to be appointed are they? It's about post quality and being active and a member who can be responsible. There are many who could've been chosen but weren't. I think people should just respect decisions and wait and see before judging...

He was, and he will confirm this, told there was no chance of him being made a mod with that attitude. Subsequently (and about 12 months later) we decided that he had got on with making a substantial contribution to the forum and not demanding to be on the staff and we were happy to offer him a deserved promotion.
Again as he will confirm, his outburst and demands set back his chance of being a staff member rather than boosted it.

True Trev true. That's why I am saying I will give these that I doubt chance to prove me wrong.
