1st Test Live - The Toss!

MN: Well were finally here and were ready to roll as both capitains make their way to the middle for the crucial toss. Capitains are here now and Ricky what do you choose?

RP: Erm I'll go for heads mate!

MN: ........Heads it is, so whats it going to be?

RP: Erm were definatly going to have a bat mate, always a good test pitch here in Brisbane and it stays true throughout the match so I think we can rack up the runs and apply some early pressure!

MN: So what about the team, what are we going to see different from that 5-0 winnig Ashes series team?

RP: Erm, I think you'll see much of the same of course Warnie and McGrath and of course Langer will be missed but we have good quality players in our team to do the job to their full potentiol so no scares for us there!

MN: Alright then thanks and good luck!

RP: Cheers mate!

MN: We are now here with Pakistani skipper Shoaib Malik. Shoaib dissapointed in losing the toss?

SM: Yes we are, this is a good batting surface and we are going to have to work very hard in the field to keep the runs down we know it will be a challenge with the Australian teams strenght and power, but we have the pace attack to cause some damage!

MN: And what about the team?

SM: We have a lot of young players in Butt and Nazir in opening and a few others, but then again our team isnt that young. Misbah-Ul-Haq has been injured during training with a muscle strain so he misses out but our team is ready for this match!

MN: Very well then good luck to you and have a great game. Now lets look at the line-ups...

MN: Well they do seem balanced in a very odd way I must say, the Australian openers make their way to the field as they get ready to kick off this summer of cricket and I'm sure they want to kick off with a bang!

Australia vs Pakistan 1st Test, Day One Lunch!

Well this test has started off just as we expected, or has it? well for all we know it hasn't Australia are in trouble in the early stages of the match they elected to bat and my god have Pakistan bowled well. sure a few loose delivery's but most of them spot on Asif his usualy line and lenght and two paceman Sami and Akhter doing the damage taking 3 wickets between them!

Australia were looking to dominate hitting shots all over the park Hayden and Jaques looked set to score biggies but then Akhter struck with a regulation outside off stump delivery which was caught in slip by the safe hands of Younis Khan!

Then Sami was brought on as Asif went off the field after taking a slight knock on the boundary whilst fielding. So then Sami did damage few moments after Jaques dismissal Hayden was trapped LBW and Pakistan were on a roll, because a few overs and balls later Sami got rid of the ever so stuborn Ricky Ponting the big wicket was caught at slip flashing at a wide one, thanks to this Pakistan have the upper hand in this test match. It's up to Hussey and Clarke to get Australia back on track!

Great Pakistani bowling! Glad to see Sami in the team.Afridi is a unusual selection. But the real surprise...wheres KANERIA!!??

Anyway great presentation apart from 3 minor issues

Akhtar is spelt with an A
Mohammad (Asif.Yousuf) are both spelt with a's not e's
Younus Khan has stated numerous times that everyone spells his name wrong. Even on cricinfo its spelt with an i, when it should be Yonus

The Australians are in a bit of trouble now. Pakistani bowlers have bowled very very well (so far).
