Your Cricket New Bat

For your style of play I would suggest a light bat which you can use to place the balls in gap easily. Nowdays so many bat manufacturer design bats with sweet spot being meaty and rest of the blade is light giving good balance to the bat without overweighing it. You can go for new Yuvi 20-20 bat series recently launched by SS and its made from Kashmir Willow. It will cost you around 100 bucks. Its gr8 for players who like to drive and sweep.
My suggestion would also be to get bat custom made for your needs rather than go for readymade one. I can't say much about your area but I have luxury of being living close to the place where best bat manufacturers of world are.
And as a note: major bat suppliers get bats made in India so you should buy Indian label bat which will always save you extra bucks.

okay I've went to the shops and had a close look at the bats there and I prefer a County Warne test collection 99.

But Harrow we are talking like 10-12 year old aren't we? I had a full sized bat at 15 and I didn't struggle at all.

Harrow is supposed to be about 13-14 or something. But im 13 and have a size 6 (1 below harrow). But im pretty small.

i also need a new bat mine cracked yesterday i had a BS ( made in South Africa ) but we don't have such a wide selection of bats in SA we have BS , GM , Gray Nicollas, and CA the other bats are pretty rare.

Wasp cricket sponsor a few South Africans so you could try them. They must be decent if International players are using them.

well one of my friends has one and they don't seem that decent at all i like BS more than Wasp but ill think ill just go with the savest option and that will probaly be a GM 5 star.

The pro's seem to like their kit!

You could do a lot worse than a Gunner. Depending on which ones are available, I'd probably lean towards the more innovative Grays. The carbon fibre handle idea has got me curious.

Why do you think they have better bats? Could it be anything to do with the fact they play the game at the top level where anything that could make a difference is vital?

Do you think players in other sports settle for average kit?

well i just heard that they go to factories and the bats get knocked in for them , and pretty much the bats get made for them the way they want it.

Obviously they get them custom made. Not sure if Wasp let the average customer have a custom bat.I know companies in England that offer the same customer service as what the pro's have.

well most bats here in SA comes from over see and if i were to go to the copany ill have to fly over sees.

Get a Kookaburra :p I've used Kookaburra's since I was in U13 IIRC, first had a Kahuna Twister LE and then two years ago I got a Beast (the illegal one :p) and most recently a plank of a MRF because people seem to use rocks in the nets rather than balls  (All english willow mind you)

Personally I'd say GM, Kooka and Gray Nicholls are probably the best bets. From friends experiences CA's tend to break :( Also steer clear of Ihsan, like Wasp the ones you get in stores are veeery cheap, but the way the play and last seem like they're made from pine wood ;)

Just a note to Wonder if possible try for a decent english willow bat, with sports equipment you don't want to skimp, as the general idea is that money usually brings quality, and a proper knocked in and maintained english willow will last ages. Also get the store to knock it in, even if its at a small extra cost, it'll save you from coming back in two weeks to get a replacement because you neglected to knock the toe in properly or some other trivial error.

Some people are bigger than others. You can't really "judge" exactly a person is on how old they are. For example I got my first full size mens bat (Short Handle) at 13 and 8 months.
