It will definitely be my toughest task yet, beating Australia in their own country.

Unconvincing India win series

India v Zimbabwe, 2nd ODI, Kolkata

India won the one day series against Zimbabwe after an 8 wicket win in the second match, but their bowlers were unimpressive in allowing the tourists to make a total of more than 200 runs.

Brendan Taylor, the captain and wicket keeper, scored 59 off 88 balls, with the majority of his team making starts. Only Greg Lamb, Tawanda Mupawira, Joubarmuil Meth failed to make double figures of those who were out.

It would have been more had Ishant Sharma not seemingly become possessed and taking 5/42. Zimbabwe were all out for 206 after 45.3 overs.

Gautam Gambhir was the stalwart that helped India to the win. He scored 99 off 127 balls, with 16 fours.

India finished on 209/2 with 10.1 overs to spare. Their batting was far better than their bowling.

The best bowling attack for me:
Ishant
RP Singh
Zaheer
Bhajji
Irfan

BTW, poor bowling to be honest, Zimbabwe should not have got past 150. But the batting was good, maybe Gambhir could have played more aggressively.

Good luck for the series down under!

good update mate, do you mean in the game or in real life? Ishant Sharma will have to be in the top category, and Ifran Pathan

In the game, but as the game should be as realistic as possible, it should translate into real life as well!

Back to normality

India v Zimbabwe, 3rd ODI, Mumbai

India beat Zimbabwe by 10 wickets to put their performance in the second match behind them and finish the series 3-0 winners.

Zimbabwe batted first and Munaf Patel took 4/19 to skittle them for 144. There were two wickets each for Sreesanth, Rudra Singh and Yuvraj Singh.

A half century for captain Brendan Taylor, his second in two games, helped his country's total past the 100 mark.

India had an easy ride to victory, taking just 24.4 overs to reach the target.

Virender Sehwag scored 79 not out off 81 balls, his second fifty of the series, and Gautam Gambhir made 62 off 67 balls, his second consecutive fifty.

I. Sharma
M. Patel

RP Singh (Should have been Irfan but hes not in squad)
H. Singh
P Chawla (If needed, but against Zim 4 bowlers are enough)

India have done pretty well to win 3-0 but it should be expected against such a poor side. Your next test will be Australia and I can see that being pretty damn difficulty.

That RP is crap to me in normal ODIs. I still wonder how he was magical in that T20 Wcup.. But after that, really crap. And Munaf, as said above, is also crap bowler in real life. :p lifeless bowler! ;)
