Absolutely atrocious scheduling in having the Aussies fly out the morning after the final ODI. Surely completing almost 3 months of gruelling cricket entitles you to at least one night at home?
Anyway, Australia should win the tests comfortably. ODIs/T20s will be much closer.
He's definitely the best keeper/batsman in Australia currently and he should be allowed to prove himself not just in India but over the course of the Australian summer as you said. I'm actually pretty confident he'll do well on more favourable Australian pitches against NZ and South Africa...
Haddin's game plan seems to be along the lines of hitting out against the bowlers no matter what conditions. It's pretty well suited to ODI but imo if he doesn't show a bit more restraint or atleast controlled aggression at test level we might do well to look at developing a more long term...
The only way Australia will win is if India lose it as England did in Adelaide in 06. Considering we had Warne, McGrath and were facing a completely spineless batting lineup (apart from Collingwood), the chances of that happening here are pretty much zero.
India on the other hand have a...
I'd say Zaheer seems to prefer to release all of his pent up sledges against Australian batsman after they have been dismissed, even if he is fielding at deep cover.
Gambhir deserved what he got, simple. Sure, it can definitely be argued that Watson was out of line in his constant sledging...
I have just about given up defending Symonds against stubborn, pig headed members who refuse to beleive that the whole incident dating back to the Indian ODI series was not sparked by certain member(s) of the Indian cricket team, and that Andrew Symonds is completely at fault for all the...
Was it really necessary to stop the game because his gloves had a tiny strap across the webbing?
Is this rule concerning keeping gloves' webbing really that important?
Great catch btw
Symonds was bowled by Sharma, who then as he ran down the pitch, looked at Symonds, clapped his hands and pointed to the dressing rooms. Symonds then said something back to Sharma who then said the whole f-o thing.
The best thing for Sharma to have done would have been to run down the wicket...
 You have got to be joking?
India's little pretty boy Sreesanth started it in India, Harbajhan continued on with it at Sydney and Sharma has just reignited the situation again here after it appeared to be dying down. You can't place Symonds at fault for retaliating to childish...
A perilous 50-50? I'd say an easy 60/40 Australia's way.
Going back a decade Australia won the 3 test series 3-0 in 1999/2000 (then won all 3 games against India in the C-U series), Lost 2-1 in 2001 in India (won ODI series 3-2), drew 1-1 in 2003/04 (ODI: 3-1 then a 2-0 win in the finals)...
I reckon it's a seasonal thing. One season you'll see the ball well, time it beautifuly and score lots of runs. The next, you miss easy runs, misstime the ball and fail to get any big innings going. The best advice is to keep on trying and concentrate on the small things in you're game...
 Whether or not hawkeye said it was going over the fact remained it looked dead plumb from a front on perspective. You know, occasionally the great Sachin does play a bad shot and gets beaten by good bowling.
For god sake, it was a bloody catch. His fingers were wrapped under the...
