    Upcoming Talents

For Australia, apart from the obvious ones like Cummins and Pattinson. I will say Mitchell Marsh could well be a top class all-rounder in all formats. Nathan Coulter-Nile if he gets his body right could develop into a world-beating fast bowler, reminds me of Simon Jones when he bowls.

    Commonwealth Bank Series Feb-Mar 2011/12

Can't see Wade, Faulkner or McDermott playing. Don't think Nathan Coulter-Nile will be picked just yet but it's only a matter of time for him. An attack of Pattinson, Cummins and Harris would be nice backed up by Watson, Marsh/Christian and Doherty.

    Border-Gavaskar Trophy (India in Australia) Dec-Jan 2011/12

I'd say the three fast bowlers Australia will use in the ODIs will be Pattinson, Cummins (if fit) and Harris. Backed up by Watson and Mitch Marsh maybe. But yes the fast men are coming along nicely.

    Border-Gavaskar Trophy (India in Australia) Dec-Jan 2011/12

That's very true, but the fact of the matter is our current top 7 aren't good enough, particularly against the moving ball. They made Doug Bracewell look like Jimmy Anderson the other day. For whatever reason, they are consistently under performing. So why would you lengthen your tail when you...

    Border-Gavaskar Trophy (India in Australia) Dec-Jan 2011/12

One of the things that worries me about the Aussie team atm is the tail appears to be too long. Siddle and Pattinson are honest battlers with the willow but against quality and intelligent bowling they won't last long. Australia were spoilt for so long having Warne and Lee coming in at 8 & 9...

Australia tour of South Africa, 2008/09

You obviously didnt watch much of the match then did you? Siddle has loads of aggression and his seamers will only get better, Hilf is the best swing bowler in Australia, and his tight bowling allowed johnson and siddle to attack from the other end. mcdonald is no mug but Hilf and siddle...

hilfenhaus was never behind bollinger. hilf was definately our best and i tell you what judging by johnsons figures he'd better get his **** together or we have no hope. johnson, ponting and hussey need to fire if we're any chance next week

i hear what you're saying but North is a better option than McDonald, McDonald was just a stop-gap and i cant see him having much of a test career tbh.

    Next Aussie test opener?

Jaques' injury woes will work against him, hes only just started playing again while Hughes is in top form. the others wont even be considered imo

    Australia's Tour Of India - 2008

Get rid of Brad Haddin...that was the sort of lazy shot you see from tailenders!!...hes too old anyway...by the time he finds his feet at international level it'll be time to retire. Bring in Luke Ronchi!!!!:hpraise looking forward to having Clark back next test hopefully

    War Films

The Thin Red Line. I always felt this was a truly beautiful war film, set in Gualalcanal in WW2 with a great cast including Nick Nolte, John Cusack, Sean Penn and James Caviezel. I always felt it was a forgotten film because it was released in 1998...the same year as the box office hit...
