At the end of the day if you are in day the top 50 players in your position out of a population of 1.4 billion. You are more likely gonna be better than your equivalent number in the pecking order in countries with far smaller populations which ofc makes NZ win even more impressive but I’m of the opinion that New Zealand maybe the best pound for pound overall sporting nation in the world with only Australia being able to challenge them really

I kinda disagree with this theory that 'smaller populated countries' victories are sweeter than bigger populated countries'. IMHO, it is actually harder to pick the right players out of a vastly bigger pool than it is to pick the right players from a smaller pool (what we call the 'problem of plenty').

Only 4.3% of the balls were projected to hit the stumps in the first 15 overs compared to 10.4% of balls in the eight over post drinks. Australia bowled straighter and made India play 62.5% of the balls in the last eight overs compared to 54.3 in the first 15.
