I don't rate Jaiswal highly. Jaiswal is a flat track bully. The Perth innings seems like an aberration of sorts.

Runs scored in each country by Jaiswal- He did well in WI purely due to his 171. Thereafter, he trailed off. In SA, he was found wanting. Ditto with Australia, you remove the 161 and he hasn't been much of a bother. I mean, even if he scores 20-30s ,like Akash Chopra, fending off the new ball, that be good, but the bloke simply can't hang around. Another Shaw in the making, if he doesn't pull up his socks.

Bad light stopping play, not a good advertisement for test cricket this
What would you propose?

Or is the other one? Virat retiring?

Apparently, Nathan Lyon was seen signing Jadeja's jersey as well.

That's it! The Test is done. they have called it off. 1-1 going into Melbourne and Sydney, not what Australia would have wanted.

Earlier Australia had 2 MoM awards- one from each side. If that were to be implemented today, Travis Head and Akash Deep should get he awards!

Not wanted, but realistically it was happening from the moment the Hazlewood injury happened. We go again for Melbourne

There is reason these guys are larger than the game figure and they don't retire easily in Indian cricket.

His brand value and his PR and all the associated contracts won't allow him to even think of instant retirement.

There are literally claws in their contract they endrose which says valid till you are active Indian player.

Thats how it is Indian cricket a certain Dhoni is still playing cricket because of that and all the brands the comes with him adds a value to the CSK tean.

Ha ha! in my excitement, for got the negation there. (going to leave the original post as is)

MCG and SCG have been decent grounds from an Indian perspective. Interesting to see how the teams regroup from here on. Scott Boland or Hazlewood fully fit- Australia would have finished off the game. here in Brisbane.

I dont deny this. But, look at the way VVS, Dravid, Sehwag, Kumble and even MSD retired. Almost all of them went quietly - so did SRT in the limited overs format.

Considering that the player's mentalities have changed over the years, I still wouldn't be surprised if Virat announces it. See for him, with his Bollywood wife, the endorsements will keep on coming. Don't think he will have a hard time.

For MSD- the endorsements would come either way- he is, afterall a World Cup winning captain (twice) and that impacts it more than anything else.

The whole point is about instant retirement which these larger than life game player don't do much.

MSD was supposedly wanted to bow out playing the WT20 that year but COVID happened.

Heck even he was bought in the Indian team as a mentor out of nowhere for the next WT20.
