2025 ICC Champions Trophy - General Discussions

but during the CWC23 we were the team that travelled the most.
You hosted the tournament with all the benefits of being a host nation, that is literally got no bearing on the situation dummkopf. And that was only 2 editions after you had hosted it previously with people who had been at the 2011 one still playing in the 2023 one, after hosting a T20 WC in 2016, supposed to host another one until COVID was so widespread in your borders that even the ICC had to say no to you in 2021. With another t20 WC hosting in 2026 (yes joint with Sri Lanka but how “joint” it will be will hardly be 50/50 (see 2026 FIFA WC for template)), if that’s not some kind of favouritism I don’t know what is. Pakistan agreed to go to a country who’s government is openly antagonistic towards them yet still barely managed to get in the country due to “visa issues” much like any other person of Pakistani descent who tries to get in these days. Yet India wouldn’t dare do the reverse and go to Pakistan cause if nothing bad did happen, it would completely tarnish the propaganda Modi and co keep pushing out. So instead Pakistan has to travel outside its own borders, has to host a semi final outside its own borders, probably will have to host the final outside its own borders for a tournament they are hosting as a comeback to cricket after over 30 years of not hosting anything cause the BCCI and the Indian government can save face. That is why there is hatred and disgust for this, it’s a purely political farce that hasn’t been attempted to be hidden and that should have no place in the sport and instead should be about bringing people together rather than keeping them apart.

First up,Sir, do learn to write in paragraphs. It is difficult to read when you ignore all rules.

Secondly, let us stop calling each other names like dummkopf. Seems a common problem whenever you want to lash out.

Lastly, if you aren't aware of the ground scenario at the border, let us refrain from commenting on the India-Pakistan issue.

The Final 4 line ups seem very similar to the 2015 World Cup.

Ind v Aus.
Nzl v Sa.

Hoping for good games here. Australia start as the obvious favourties for me today. When it comes to Knockouts, it is entirely their territory. The game they bring to these matches is completely different and can knock people off even before the toss. Worrying for Australia though is the fact that their batsmen haven't been among the runs- largely one can say on account of the washout we had. But the again, India, knockout games and out of form batsmen make for a pretty bad combo(from an Indian perspective)

Yeah, I don't think Australia have a chance.
I think we have a chance (not favourites, but not totally out of it) solely because I still don't trust India's batting (remember I just came off a summer of watching Rohit, Virat and KL get out for about 3), but Head, Smith and Maxi are going to have to stand on their heads with the bat

I think all round India are too strong, but you're right, it'd take someone putting in a good performance with the bat from Australia.

It will just take one good innings here from an Aussie batsman to dent India. Either of Head/ Smith standing through the innings will flatten Indian hopes.

Note that Australian bowlers are sort of new. India, traditionally have struggled against new pacers time and again.

right, i have a bold prediction: Tanveer Sangha will have a huge imoact on this match. To see if I'm right, we'll have to first wait and see if he plays, so fingers crossed...

The batting from Conlloy is pathetic has he played cricket before
Post automatically merged:

One ball at the stumps it over for him

That Shaitan Head is set now.

All the best India.
