Thanks, all for your suggestions. Fixed now....turned out, as @Dridge118 suggested, that this was an issue with window focus...even though I only have one monitor. When I clicked on the screen with the mouse, it then accepted controller input. Something in the Windows update must have caused...

Yes...this might be a factor. Reinstalling didn't work...but it looks like a problem unique to me. I will try and find some time to check drivers etc.

Yes...I've tried two different controllers, hitting enter on the keyboard and punching the screen...and it's not even one of those touch sensitive ones. I'm reinstalling.

Hmmm...no it doesn't seem to. I may need to revalidate files...that didn't work...I fear a reinstallation may be needed.

I still can't get the game to leave the start screen. Could someone on PC let me know if they have the same problem when launching the game from Steam Big Picture mode (running directly on PC...not using Steam Link or anything). It could just be me but, if not, I'll report it as a bug. Thanks...

@Zhish the left stick doesn't dictate direction of rotation. It did in DBC14 but not in Ashes. Spin direction is based on delivery selection. You can rotate the LS in whichever direction you're more comfortable with.
