Huge yes to all of this. Haven't really played the game much in the last couple of months (mainly down to being busy) but based off the fix list it seems like BAS have very much listened to a lot of the issues we have raised.
Can't wait to get going on the new patch!
Mode: Competition
Match Type: T20

Ok - so I go for a quick single - it's tight, the fielders are rather good (etc...).
Batsman dives and barely gets over the line with his outstretched bat - but he gets there with about a foot of...
In order of importance:
1) AI field settings - you can only play a 4/5 day game if you're willing to completely suspend your disbelief.
2) Superhuman fielders. Everything needs toning down really - bowlers are way too good fielding of their own bowling. Fielding throws are still so...
So, I'm not a person that scouers every thread by any stretch - but having only been playing the game a bit, and reading the feedback, I'm amazed more hasn't been made out of the AI field settings.
I've heard a lot about how the fielding radar isn't there - but has it occured to anyone that...
OK - I apologise if this has already been bought up, but I never noticed it this bad pre-patch. I must also admit relative to 99% of people on here I presume I've played the game a lot less. On the whole I love the game - my batting is terrible but I like that!
But the AI field settings. I've...
Am I alone in experiencing issues with bowling at pace?
I seem to be able to hit the "meters" very nicely yet still often only get 75mph (or often less) out of my quick bowlers.
Am I missing something obvious or does it just come down to practice and timing?
Ok, firstly to say that the patch has really made the game a massive step closer to where we ultimately want it to be - so massive kudos for that. The issue now is now that the gaping chasms have gone, the cracks are appearing.
I haven't played the patch much compared to others. I've bowled...
Number of direct hits need to be reduced. Right now two in every three seem to hit the stumps, whereas I think 1 in every 4 should hit - or something like that.
Also, non-striker needs to backup, the amount of times I've had a non-striker run out because of that aswell as the first issue is...
One other thing I'd like to see it to be able change the running speed between the wickets, depending on where you are running. It does seem a little strange when your just looking to rotate the strike that you hit the ball to long on then sprint a single when in reality you'd just jog it...
Batting by Numbers ? why the AI Batting in AC09 is flawed
I've been attempting to play this game for a while, and it only struck me tonight as to how the offline AI batting is built on a system which foundations are flawed. This problem is batting by numbers.
For a moment let me begin by...
It's like a waiter bringing you a meal thats undercooked, and then you ask what he'll do about it he replies that it can be rectified only if you pay an extra fee on top of the money that you are already paying for the meal.
I'd pay for an update if I got anything more out of it. But no way...
For the record, I wasn't moaning about the animations - far from it.
I was just wondering whether people would be able to create bowler specific bowling animations.
Finally got a game going - I forget who it was against (was going to post it instantly after the match but couldn't login to PlanetCricket).
First innings was quite good - I won the toss and bowled. Bowling was good - was tonked all over the place, the occasional slower ball worked, but on the...
Its all well and good saying - bowl in the yellow areas - we know that, they're workarounds, doesn't make it the right thing to do. There's something really screwed up about bowling half volleys to restrict the AI run rate. Equally for spinners, bowling yorkers as a good length.
