Looks like an omen to me..... Thats why i votd india to win the series!

I have a feeling that Australia will win, especially with a brilliant player like MWaugh controlling the team.

sorry if im wrong, but doesnt EA store the stats for you in the tournament stats?

Ahh my Excel idea has been used before I had the chance to unleash my own! I guess great minds think alike ;) Im going for a drawn series!

Mwaugh, great Exel stats sheet there but, as langer said, you could have saved alot of work and time because there is a series stats thing in C2005, but this was awesome...Just to let you know for next time, mate ;)!

Great thread! I always read it, but never post! im too busy reading :) :D

Good work by Gambhir and Sehwag! India would be hoping for them to put the Aussie bowlers to the sword in the tests.

Good effort in bringing up the stats mate. I prefer the Excel stuff to the EA inbuilt stats. Good idea there by Sid!

Keep it up mod!

Yeah i didnt have any ea stats so i made them using the scorecards. I find this makes it more accurate anyway and probably a little bit more presentable.

India Cruise To Comfortable Victory

India cruised to their 2nd victory of the Australian summer as they managed a 76 run victory over Western Australia at the WACA ground in Perth today. After setting the home side 296 runs for victory from their 50 overs, the Indian bowlers to contain the Western Australian batsman as well as take wickets as the Warriors were restricted to 220.

Harbhajan Singh took 3/54 and Yuvraj Singh took 3/74 as Western Australia were bowled out with 3.3 overs remaining in the match. Justin Langer managed 53 and Adam Gilchrist scored 42 but it was not enough on a batsman friendly pitch.

India are now 2-0 this summer, and have a 4 day match against Australia A at Bellerieve Oval followed by a one day clash against Australia A at Adelaide.

Australia Announce 15 Man Squad For 1st Test

Australian selectors have announced a 15 man squad ahead of the 1st test against India in Brisbane. India still have 2 matches to play before the 3 test series begins but selectors have opted to shortlist 15 players eligible for selection.

All players will play for their state teams in both a Pura Cup and ING Cup game in a lead up to the first test. In between this match players may be selected for the Australia A vs India matches.

Ricky Ponting (c)
Adam Gilchrist (vc)(wk)
Justin Langer
Matthew Hayden
Damien Martyn
Michael Clarke
Simon Katich
Michael Hussey
Shane Watson
Shane Warne
Brett Lee
Nathan Bracken
Stuart MacGill
Shaun Tait
Glenn McGrath

Simon Katich, Michael Hussey, Damien Martyn and Shane Watson will all battle it out in the batting lineup while Watson may compete with Bracken and Tait for the bowling options. It is unlikely that MacGill will be used at a traditionally seamer friendly GABBA wicket.

Victorian batsman Brad Hodge (far right) must be wondering what he needs to do to find a space in this Australian side. Hodge has been devastatingly close on previous occasions and will again be pushing for selection in this years home series. The omission of Hodge is also seen as a sign of the high quality in the depth of Australian cricket batting stocks at the current time.

Australia Announce New Sponsers

In a major step forward for the game at both state and international level, clothing brand ADIDAS have been announced as the new supplier of Australias cricket uniforms for both the international team and the state teams.

Ponting appeared pleased with the new design.

"I really like it to be honest. It is a very bright and bold yellow but it is also exciting. I think it reflects the way we like to play our cricket. I like the idea of having both a home and away strip. We will get to wear the away strip when we tour the West Indies in a few months time but im very pleased to be wearing this."
