100 Years of Cricket (1915 to 2015)

There will be six teams. 20s, 40s, 60s, 70s, 90s and New Age.

20s team can have any player who made their International debut between between 1915 to 1940.
40s team can have any player who made their International debut between between 1941 to 1955.
60s team can have any player who made their International debut between between 1956 to 1970.
70s team can have any player who made their International debut between between 1971 to 1985.
90s team can have any player who made their International debut between between 1986 to 2000.
New Age team can have any player who made their International debut between between 2001 to 2015.

This is going to be a short tournament. Each team will play five matches.
There will be five rounds. Top team will move to the finals. Second and third team will battle out to decide the second finalist.

Matches will be played in ODI format.
No drafts. Once the team allocation is done you can start posting your 18 member squad.

If you are interested, you can post two teams that you would wish to manage.
Note: Team Allocation is not based on first come first serve basis.

70s team can have any player who made their International debut between between 1971 to 1985.

Are we also allowed to select players who made their international debuts before 1971, but played predominantly during this period? For example - Clive Lloyd.

I decided to select three players from each of the six teams to play Test cricket during my period. Unfortunately, this meant that I had to leave out some very good players (Sir Frank Worrell) while including some less good ones (Tony MacGibbon). One major surprise was the ommission of Alec Bedser in favour of Bob Appleyard. Fred Trueman (who was in no way forgotten in the first draft, oh no) was delighted by a little bit of extra Yorkshire in the squad.

There will also be a guarantee of one player from each country in every XI at this tournament:

No. To keep it simple I went with the debut year otherwise it will be very difficult.

That took a ridiculously long time to mull over. Had a squad of 25 which I have finally managed to whittle down. Choosing a first eleven is going to be a nightmare!
