1001 Things You Love about Cricket

You dick. :p

34) Optimism. If your team are doing poor, there is always a chance they can get back into the game or give you an exciting climax. Optimism goes hand in hand with Pessimism(sp?), however.

35. Batsmen walking down the pitch fast bowlers. Done best by Hayden, McCullum and Pietersen. I love nothing more than seeing Brendon McCullum run down the pitch, only to recieve a bouncer and smash it for six. Brilliant excitement.

36. Spin bowling. Nothing better than seeing an in-form batsmen wrong footed by a turning pitch on the 3rd day of a test.

37. Matthew Hayden - One of the greatest openers ever. Totally revolutionised Opening Batsman. Nowadays openers attack the bowling and take the initiative unlike batsman like Bill Lawry, Geoff Boycott and Sunil Gavaskar who were more then happy to give it to the bowlers. Cricket is boring without Matthew Hayden.

38. West Indies bowling attack of the late 70s - To this day there still isn't a better group of pace bowlers that bowled as good as these 4 guys. Andy Roberts, Michael Holding, Colin Croft and Joel Graner.

39. Yuvraj Singh clobbering "Stuart Little":p Broad for 6 sixes in T20. Awesome stuff.:cheers

41. Sachin Tendulkar. The humble perfectionist.

42. I like that Test match cricket lasts all of five days. Those five days you can basically live in a parallel world of your own.:)

44. Test matches where the tension is thick enough to cut through all five days and make your heart skip every delivery of the fifth day.

45. Beer @ Cricket, and the relaxed drinking laws. As soon as you step into the ground, you can drink beer :p

46. Record Breaking. - Love watching the Stadium erupt when a player breaks someone elses record.
