England are in good form, and will look to beat a side they have struggled against in ODIs of recent times.

I hope we select Davies. There is no point in making Morgan keep wicket when we have a specialist in the squad.

A win is important for England as well as New Zealand since momentum will play a big part in the latter stages of the tournament.

Much better one day team in recent years.
On our day we are as good as Aussie and they were a class above ENG.
England have form behind them with 3 consecutive wins, but we have just come off a very good win against good SL side.

Even more so because of that. It means you're due to start playing bad again. I just don't see how we could win with players like Diremanti and Hopkins playing. (Presumably that's who will have to come in). If we're smart we'll play Patel over Diremanti though.

Players like Diamanti should of never been there in the first place. What has happened to the likes of Styris etc.

Surely we could pick Styris ahead of him and have a bowling line up that goes:

Styris/Elliot/Guptill/Ryder if he wasn't injured as well

Ok, yeah if Butler is fit bring him in. I don't think they would swap batsmen Ryder for Bowler Diamanti, so probably Hopkins would come in.

One quick question, if we can just bring in guys when so and so gets injured why did we bring a back up keeper???
Because if McCullum gets injured they can just bring Hopkins in anyway.
Seems like a bit of a waste and is part of the reason we are so short on players.

I think it is because if McCullum gets injured in a warm up just before a game we would be screwed. Need someone there that can jump in right away.

Can't see us winning tbh. Ryder's out, Tuffey's gone and Diamanti is still hanging around the team. I really hope we just play Redmond, even if he arrives an hour before the game start's he'll do a lot more for New Zealand then Hopkins or Diamanti would.

If Redmond doesn't play Guptill will probably open with McCullum and I'm guessing either Broom or Taylor will bat at three.
