Paul Valtathy - A new IPL find, scored a brilliant century for KXIP in just 52 balls. I am loving it. I am very happy for CSK's loss. :clap:clap:clap

Valthaty, you beauty! What an innings!

He single handedly took apart the Chennai bowling attack. Pretty poor from their part considering they couldn't even held on to the catches in the latter stages of the game. That said, Velthaty was too good for them today and they could have hardly done anything to stop this man!

Now, why isn't Marsh opening?
I think you have got your answer. ;)h

BTW Parveen, First ball wickets in consecutive matches including 2 wickets in first and second ball of this match . You Rocked man! only if you can improve your death overs that ruined your figures :p

Paul Valthaty :cheers....Wonder how Gilchrist and Marsh felt:D...being reduced to mute spectators at the other end :D...because usually its the other way round when they are batting...:D

Awesome innings from Valthaty (wierd name!:D ). Hope he can play more of such innings against other sides (not in the next CSK game though!:D ). We (India) need guys like this who can tonk the ball hard and who can play long innings.

But Chennai's bowling was ridiculous. Morkel had a great few games at the end of IPL-3 which helped us win the IPL. But he has always been painstakingly inconsistent. Bollinger's absence is felt here because Bollinger has far better control. Ashwin is bound to have a few off games (and this was not a turning pitch too). It hurts to lose to a team thats considered weak, but this is T20. Better luck next time, CSK!

I didn't watched most of the match but looking at the scorecard, it looks it was more of Valthaty batting that made CSK bowling horrible.

KXI won when they were having very least chances than any other team. Hope they can continue like this.

One positive is that Vijay scored a big one outside of Chennai (last IPL he was heavily scoring only in home games). Dhoni also played a super cameo innings with Badri also coming to the party with 66 and a 110+ SR. This should have been defended easily, but we were suprised by Valthaty (in Chennai language, "THATHA" means grandfather and Thaty sounds like a short form of grandfather:D).
