I am always with bowlout. the logic is simple , there something should be for the bowlers in a 20-20 match.

Share your thoughts ......

Super Over is definitely better. Instead of just hitting th stumps, you can bowl at a batsman and also the whole team comes into play which is always a better thing (sharing of accountability among the team rather than that one player who takes the cake/burden during a bowl out).

Cricket is a contest between the bat and the ball rather than the batsman and the bowler and that should never be changed.bowl out is absolutely meaningless as it takes the bat out of the equation.super over is very exciting though its a bit too short.

We had a thread like this. Mods most probably will close this thread soon. Anyway, I'll go with bowlout. It's something more scientific.

Super Over. Bowl Out's nice. But Super over just fits in for cricket.

1. Super over involves Batting, Bowling and fielding - So you have your entire team playing in the field.

2. Possibilities will be on both sides of the team. Massive Hits or Key Wickets can take place. Giving access to both areas of the game unlike Bowl out which involves a bowler, and no batsmen.

3. Much convenient method to decide the winner - You've got one over, score as many runs as you can. The opposition gets one over again to chase the score that has been set. As simple as that.

4. Furthering into more causes that possibly lead to controversies like "What if the game's tied?" etc; Have easy referable ways such as to get the statistics of both teams and comparing the sixes hit, fours hit, wickets fallen, overs taken and much criteria can fit into it. It can be less hassle (not really!) than bowl out which Rages but the controversies on unfair play nearly every time it happens.

Super over looks deep, but basically, it's got a simple way to calculate things.

I'll also go with super over as both batting and bowling involved in it. Gives both players the chance to prove their skills. Wheras, bowl out only involves bowlers.

Not demeaning it and I love seeing bowl out. But even flukes can happen. Which in the case of Super over, It's less compared to bowl out. Not overreacting. Just saying.

why this is even a issue? we watched both, and super over is way better then bowl out. but they could use bowl out too, if they get a tie from super over ;)

Not a big fan of either, of the 2 I'd chose the Super Over. There is never going to be an ideal method to decide, but for me the Super Over does a job closer to cricket. I guess in footballing terms its most like the penalty shootout (not ideal either) whereas the bowl out would be more like a penalty shootout with no keeper - can't see that ever happening, can you?

Well imo, Bowlout. Its not that bowlout is way better, but it was simple and nice to watch.

@Kev: Lol Penalty shootout without keeper awesome.:banana2

no, 1st dont you get a 15 min, 15 min golden goal time thingi? then if 1 team scores, they wins, even if there is time left. but if no team scores, then penalty shootout? right?

thats what should happen with cricket, supper over. still tie? bowl out. rather then who ever hit the most 6s

You don't have to have extra time or indeed that terrible golden goal extra time before a penalty shootout. Some competitions do 90mins then straight to penalties.

Super over is better because it is uniquw.Bowl out makes the game Look similar to Penalty shoot out of soccer.super over makes cricket different from soccer
