Your squad for the tournament must consist of EXACTLY fifteen players
You must mark your captain () for the tournament; they can not be dropped unless injured
You must have at least one wicket-keeper () in your squad; but you are advised two
No upgrades can be spent mid-tournament; upgrades must be made before Round 1 begins.

Deadline

May 26th at 7PM Perth Time or 61 1/2 hours - failure to submit squad within given deadline will result in the auto-selection of your squad.

The implications this tournament has on World Cup qualification can not be emphasized hard enough.

Rooting for Pakistan, China and Saudi Arabia to do well, even though the final will likely be India-Qatar.

The Chinese Cricket Association announces its fifteen man side for the upcoming ASCON Asia Cup in Qatar, and there are two big surprises in the side as both Shao Zhenkang and Lei Yu have earned their maiden call-ups to the national team. Lei Yu had impressed in a tour against Morocco 'A' back in August and led Sichuan to winning the People's Shield after a long season. Shao Zhenkang has been rather impressive with his List A performances and managed to get selected over usual bench warmer Mao Changming, however it is unclear if he will get any playing time considering how stacked the bowling lineup usually is. China will be looking to make it back to the knockouts after crashing out as hosts in the previous iteration of the tournament, as well making it to the knockouts will likely secure China's placement in the World Cup later this year.

ASCON has confirmed that Japan has withdrawn from the 2003 ASCON Asia Cup, as a result of this fixtures for the opening round has been modified to reflect this, meaning that Sri Lanka will not receive a bye and will play in the opening round. As well this also means there won't be any byes in this tournament as we now have an even number of teams.
