Lost our wickets way too quick on day 2. So far so good for us with both bat and ball but we still need to be careful. I gave a feeling England will come back strong in the back end of the match

We’ve had brief spells of being on top today but they were just too small and not enough of them to make a dent against sustained pressure and control Canada showed. It’s going to take a Herculean miracle to make this game even competitive

I know we have a strong lead, but we need to make sure not to take it for granted. England made it to the finals for a reason.

We need to keep the pressure up.

The English skipper reaches his hundred... and what a hundred this has been! Take a bow, Richard Head! The job is far from done, but with him still out there, England will feel as though they still have a shot at upstaging the heavy-favorites, even at this current stage in the game. Canada are in need of a breakthrough.

England end the session on a mighty high — they pull 90 runs from the last 20.0 overs to bring the required equation down to a more easy-on-the-eyes 136. Even though Canada found a chink in the armour, it only opened the floodgates for Richard Head and the newly arrived Jim Malick to put their foot on the gas and score more freely.

With England needing 136 more runs to win, and Canada still 5 wickets away — Day 5 of the Nations League Final promises to be a thrilling affair!

I knew England would come back in the back half of the game. We need to keep the pressure up and bowl good deliveries. Hopefully the poor pitch on day 5 can give us a bit of an advantage

We’re still in this game. I didn’t think I would be saying those words after WGC was controversially given out. What a time for Ronald Wellington to make a maiden test 50 and the skipper to make a maiden test ton after so many 50s. He has taken this game by the horns and has played an innings for the ages regardless of the result. With the heroes of the Niue game in Malick and Naismith to accompany him, we can do this but this Canada attack is lethal and feared for a reason

In what could only be described as a historic triumph, Canada shatter their long-standing jinx at multi-nation tournaments by clinching the 2003 WCC Nations League title, becoming World Champions of Test cricket for the very first time. Led by the exemplary leadership of their captain, Martin Terry, Canada delivered unforgettable performances against European behemoths — Wales, Guernsey, Denmark and England. Terry's unparalleled display of all-round cricketing brilliance was nothing short of legendary, as he amassed a staggering 693 runs, the highest tally in the tournament, while simultaneously claiming 20 wickets, jointly the most by any player. His contributions were simply the backbone of Canada's success, with him even being crowned the player of the match in all four of their victorious encounters. A tournament to remember for a lifetime from Martin Terry has propelled Canada to a historic milestone, etching their name as only the second team to win this coveted title.

But despite Canada's triumphant march, the 2003 WCC Nations League Final was not without its dramatic twists and turns. England, showcasing immense resilience, fought tooth and nail, coming agonizingly close to snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. In Canada's second innings, England's bowler Richard Carolyne put on display his wizardry with the ball, claiming a stellar 6-wicket haul, injecting a sense of uncertainty into the match. Following which, during the run-chase, English captain Richard Head's breathtaking innings of 165 further fueled England's hopes of a miraculous turnaround. However, despite their valiant efforts, England fell short of the ultimate prize, leaving them to rue what might have been in a closely contested finale. Regardless of the outcome, they should be proud of how far they came as an underdog team.
