2018 World Cup Bids

Now all you need to do is get 'Soccer' rated a higher sport than surfing. ;)
It was almost as big as the Comm Bank Series this year mate, the A-League drew in crowds in excess of 40,000 several times and it whilst AFL and NRL will always dominate the market, the A-League could cause the cricket a few headaches, although it pains me to say so.

I'm not sure whether the european countrys would allow it to happen because of the time difference.FIFA would be too worried about the size of the audiences that they get imo unless they could find a time to suit everyone

I think 1982 is a pretty long while back and should not prevent Spain from hosting the World Cup in 2018. (32 years)

It would be fair if Spain got it actually since London got the 2012 Olympics already and that too because of an error. Madrid would have won that otherwise.

well if england win it we will lose even more billion of pounds, thats if they do what i say and build a big big stadium.

There wouldn't need to be any new stadiums for the 2018 World Cup if it was held here.

Villa Park
Old Trafford
Wembley National Stadium
Emirates
Stamford Bridge
Portman Road

They're all internationally suitable venues.

A) How is the Olympics being held 6 years earlier got anything to do with when a football tournaments being held?

B) 1966 to 2018 is longer (52 years)

C) What mistake? Is this some cooked up conspiracy theory?

Another idea could be to host it in the UK and Irleand, so places like Landsdown road and Parkhead can get a tournament game because lets face it Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales will takes decades to get enough quality stadiums to host an international tournament.

Yeh, which is why I think a joint bid would be great. You could use Wembley, OT, Emirates, Stamford Bridge, New Liverpool Stadium, Millenium Stadium, Leckwith Stadium, Liberty Stadium, Ibrox, Hampden Park, Lansdowne Road...

Now I know England had one game there, but since when has Portman Road been an international stadium! Surely you've missed out venues like St James' or City of Manchester Stadium which are of a higher quality and capacity than Portman Road.

i think like people are saying it would be a good idea to host in Britain, instead of just england

how about we trade the olympics for the world cup because nobody actually cares about athletics
