Personally I like South Africa's chances more now than ever. Being huge underdogs will give them the freedom to play more naturally than having the tag as one of the favorites.

The squad is looking decent with the likes of Miller, Shamsi, Rabada and De Kock being the more senior players.

The UAE pitches don't offer much in terms of swing, bounce or pace and little turn for the spinners, however I personally feel our pace trio of Rabada, Nortje and Ngidi are probably the best in the world cup not forgetting Shamsi is rated 1st in T20I's.

Batting wise we have the ever reliable VD Dussen (Not the best of SR this season) , Miller, De Kock, Markram (in good nick) and Hendricks. The allrounders Pretorius, Mulder, Fortuin and traveling reserves Linde and Phehlukwayo aren't shabby at all.

My tournament XI: However the middle order is somewhat out of per portion with Bavuma as - I'd drop him personally

Things would be better once the tournament begins. Bangladesh have beaten Australia and New Zealand in their recent series. Yes, they were under strength sides but it did a world of good to their confidence in the way they played and won.
