It was sarcasm that SA has a quota system to play a player like this in the XI and keep a good one out.?
I don't think Pretorious comes under players of colour.
To me this time however, it seems like reverse Quota system. It was sarcasm that SA has a quota system to play a player like this in the XI and keep a good one out.
Whatever you just said is the exact thing I mocked in the OG post but in a subtle wayTo me this time however, it seems like reverse Quota system.
Phehluwayo who is a player of colour, is out of the squad while Pretorious is in
Personally, I like Phehlukwayo more.
So the point is Group B is tougher than Group A unlike what people say?
Yes (According to ICC T20I rankings)So the point is Group B is tougher than Group A unlike what people say?
The theory is because there is stronger teams in Group A it might mean teams share out victories, so losing isn't as big a disadvantage. So India, Pakistan and NZ would be expected to beat the other three teams so their head to heads could be the difference between qualifying. So the point is Group B is tougher than Group A unlike what people say?
That made me ponder the question, should we only rely on NRR in case of same points? The theory is because there is stronger teams in Group A it might mean teams share out victories, so losing isn't as big a disadvantage. I don't really like bonus points, particularly in cricket where the pitch or stadium can play a big part. And I don't know how it would work if there's an abandoned match. They wouldn't just split the points but they'd miss out on the chance to make bonus points. That made me ponder the question, should we only rely on NRR in case of same points?
Should we introduce bonus points for a huge win in ICC events?
What about bounday count. Oh wait, that didn't go well.I don't really like bonus points, particularly in cricket where the pitch or stadium can play a big part. I don't like NRR either though. The system they use in the Ranji trophy and possibly the Sheffield Shield (that I can't remember the name of) is perhaps better.
Yesterday England would miss out on half their innings to score more boundaries cause they bowled out the opposition easily. What about bounday count. Oh wait, that didn't go well.
Isn't this mathematically similar to boundary count o.OBalls per boundary/six would be one option
Not if it's an average rather than total.Isn't this mathematically similar to boundary count o.O
