2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup - Australia

Australia has never concentrated on T20 cricket and rightly so. In many tournaments, I feel they have simply made up the numbers on account of the Member Participation Agreement.

Their win last year can be attributed to a bit of a fluke. I don't think things will change for them in the near future unless they make a specific call like instituting George Bailey ( a few years ago)

Disagree mate! They were convincing except their match against England. Finch was lucky to win tosses though which in UAE like lottery but calling their triumph "Fluke" is big understatement. This year, however, they looked kind of all over the place. Finch was good captain but the balance in the team was not there with under-performing Maxwell (barring the last match), Warner and numbre uno bowlers. By far none of the teams, this year looks like an unit. Funnily enough Pakistan without Rizwan and Babar would have been a better balanced team. With NZ, ENG, SA and IND likely to fight it out.. it's anybody's cup to win.

So the hosts will be eliminated today, semis will be mostly ind vs nz, eng vs sa. Let's see.

R.I.P England

How ironic!! .. This match is being officiated by two Aussie umpires... ENG making inroads

Sri Lanka have wasted the start that they got in the Powerplay. Always felt Rajapaksa batted a spot or 2 lower in this line-up. The middle order just lacked firepower to take the momentum into the middle overs and that eventually hurt them at death!
