People want Kohli to bat like Buttler when he isn't that type of a batter. If you want a Buttler, you start by playing blokes like Shaw in the XI and getting the likes of Rahul to bat fearlessly. Also backing Pant instead of dropping and picking him every odd bilateral helps. There is no real incentive to play like a Buttler when you know your spot is likely to be threatened or lost after a couple of failures.
