Coetzee not taking the review. Insane

Any non-South African who is ok with SA winning the WC or wants SA to win the WC , need to reassess their view about cricket . That means Bavuma would be the WC winning captain & in the hall of fame with those Greatest of Captains there ? :crying::crying::crying:

Aaron Finch won a WC whilst being a specialist tosser. Sammy won two of them despite being a specialist captain. Think Bavuma’s in fine company if he does win the WC.

His step-mom is black. If that qualifies you as a person of colour then I would say they need to reevaluate if it's achieving the results they hope it would do. :lol

Like I said I’m pretty sure he doesn’t qualify for it.

WC 99 semi final vibes, batting first almost 213. Hope SA wins this time.

Rohit Sharma with Mumbai Indians, MS Dhoni with Chennai Super Kings

I’m pretty sure Rohit treats his IPL stint since 2018 as a paid vacation where he does whatever he wants and tests things out for his international career. :lol

SA just need to match the energy as to Aussies' in the fielding. Keep building pressure from first over itself and it's a game on!

Australia will breeze through this winning by 6 wickets and plenty of overs to spare.

He doesn’t qualify for it and once again I’m not sure why this myth keeps existing. They’ve consistently selected the side considering him as a white player only.

Why do you keep propagating falsehoods even after being shown that you’re lacking context and knowledge of the topic at hand?
Prove it.

Merely by saying it, one can't believe you right? If you believe you are right, let's see you quote an article or any official source in this regard.

By not calling it out, you deem yourself in the category of those who understand the racial quotas better. It really isn't the case. All you e done so far is to protect Temba and his position in the team. Dates as far back, when he was first appointed as captain over other better prospects. I have no qualms over you supporting your favourite/ non-favoruite. However, 90% of the fans know that the Protea selection is riddled with quotas. It has been spoken about at length. If it wasn't the case, broadcasters would have called it out.

What do you call this then?

Since for some reason the main article in a South African site no longer links to it, here’s the article from another site.

Here’s the r/cricket thread linking that main article no longer accessible and the discussion around it. I could go and pull the article from archive.org if needed but I’m frankly tired because I’ve been looking for this and Quinton’s own heritage for the last hour whilst dealing with a massive toothache and I’m pretty sure any more searches on this will get me onto a radar in some country. :lol

If you do know about their selection policy, you would also know that the quota selections aren’t hard cases and they’re only looked at as an average across a season. This means they can make up for it across a season in some bilateral series if they do fall short of it in some other series. None of this also applies to the current tournament because there’s no requirement for World Cups anymore.

Are you seriously suggesting that the best top order batter for South Africa over the last year in ODIs is a quota pick and nothing more? It’s delusional to keep harping on that even after being proven otherwise. He’s had a crap tournament and shouldn’t have played today but neither of those are due to the colour of his skin. He’s been perfectly fine as an ODI player ever since his consistent selection. I called his appointment as white ball captain a bit unusual due to him not being a regular at that time but I also pointed out how it was a shrewd choice at that time in the absence of other strong alternatives. Who are these other better prospects that you speak of? I have no bias towards Bavuma in this instance, on the contrary all I see is an insane amount of scrutiny on him that many players in other countries have never been subjected to.

How on earth is 90% of this team riddled with quota selections either? Linde is the only one missing out that arguably deserves to be here and his omission has been consistent for a while due to him choosing to skip on tours because he wouldn’t have been playing as a regular. Where are these ‘discussions at length’ about 90% of the team being quota selections? You’re absolutely talking out of your element here and me saying this doesn’t mean I’m an expert on South African racial policies or demographics/societal issues either, it just means you’re being ignorant despite it being pointed out to you.
