I still don't get how the BCCI is at fault here? From my sources in IMG, the ICC is responsible for the logistics whenever it comes to any event hosted by them.

Why won't this question prop up in the succeeding matches at Ahmedabad? Just cause it is the opening game?


The reason why Ahmedabad is a 100,000 plus stadium is cause they are shaping the city up to bid for the Olympics. Per the plans, the Motera will be a multi purpose facility with an eye on it in 2036. Agree, it lacks cricketing heritage and also agree that it didn't deserve to host the Finals. However, for media to simply bring one point into play doens't make sense at all.

It is like being at the opening game of the Qatar World Cup- where despite good facilities all that every one was interested in was the human rights in Qatar.
