What do you guys make of this?

I think Ramiz is doing this to take on the IPL. Dunno, whether this is a good idea. The draft system has worked well, given enough to cheer about and personally fele it should remain that way.

Draft system has made sure that there is fairness and competition, it took only 7 season for all 6 franchises to win the title (Multan have played since only the third season as well). I doubt Pakistani-owned franchises have the financial muscle for an auction right now. With the state of the country right now, the PCB is lucky to be able to have the revenue that it currently has, it should look to protect the PSL as it is, because it's a massive hit domestically.

Why is the thread named Pakistani Junior League?

How do player contracts work in PSL? Wasn't it a draft based system?

Or is it direct signing like we see in football leagues?

@Na Maloom Afraad changed the name so we can discuss the recently concluded PJL in this thread too.

There is a draft system, with categories. However, teams can also trade players with other franchises. There’s only trades and draft, no direct signings

Strange that Karachi traded Babar to Peshawar.

That's like MSD or Kohli or Rohit being traded by their home franchise to another team. Can't imagine it.

They traded him for Shoaib Malik.
Rumours are that he was extremely unhappy with the franchise management, and with some players like Imad and Amir, so he forced the trade himself.
