Finally PSL ended on a very high note Alhamdulillah. Great tournament overall. The final actually won Pakistan Cricket but the final match suffered from cricketing prespective. It was kinda expected that it won't be a high scoring match considering a different pitch with sudden different conditions. The home coming over shadowed the actual cricket and final but its fair enough considering the situation. Hopefully, next time The venues would be better planned and player coordination would be better to come play in Pakistan.
I would give Quetta advantage of not having their winning combination. Sarfraz also made a silly mistake of not inducting Asad Shafiq as opener with Ahmed Shehzad in the absence of Luke Wright. Seems like it was an instruction to induct a C grade forigen player in place of him. Anyway, The match was quite boring from cricketing perspective but at the end of the day PSL and Pakistan Cricket Won!

One of the reasons for Zalmi's win in the final & success in the tournament has been because of their friendship and comradeship towards the entire team (including management) & each other. None of their players pulled out from playing in Lahore. Sammy in particular has invested himself emotionally in the team since the last PSL. I was supporting QG from the start but didn't want Sammy to go with runner's-up medals or whatever they were giving. Sammy should be offered a Pakistani citizenship for his role, with Waziristan domicile
Quetta Glad players also tended to showcase similar emotions & friendship. The seniors guided the emerging players & brought the best out of them. KP's presence alone seems to have a positive psychological impact on the team, even if he doesn't play well. All of this helped them reach the final. But they lacked comradeship. Big foreign players pulling out desynced their team, especially in the batting department. Nonetheless, Sarfaraz has proved his worth as a capable decision-maker & captain in harsh times. As for Sir Viv Richards, he leaves everyone speechless. Nothing but praise for him.
A special thanks should be extended to all the foreigners who came. Dean Jones is a must mention.
Now about the BIG FUSS ... the Lahore Venue. Essentially, a much needed step. But the entire broadcast was lackluster compared to Dubai. They didn't seem to have mics on crowd. Not too much noise heard on TV. Second, except for that gorgeous looking Media Room in Gaddafi the stadium has not been upgraded at all & so goes for other stadiums in the country. The crowd is surrounded by darkness, whereas it is now prefered to put lights on them. It adds to the excitement. The argument of lack of international cricket in the country is valid point but that does not mean should give up on small but necessary upgrades. The groundsmen hadn't done good grasswork either. It doesn't matter that the final venue's decision came at the last moment, the groundsmen should do their best at all time.
Anyway ... job well done to everyone involved. This tournament was bigger then the previous. But I am just wondering how future PSLs would work out without Afridi. He seemed to be the star of the entire show.

A bit late but congratulations for PCB and PSL for successfuly hosting the final in lahore which looked almost distant three weeks back!

That was to stop the Go Nawaz Go chants. Apparently they were very loud before the game, and Sethi had the crowd mics turned down so it wasn't broadcast worldwide.
