2025 ICC Champions Trophy - General Discussions

Ya the November 29th meeting is not going to look good from PCB's perspective with all the clashes that are happening in Islamabad. Hate to say it but BCCI just got a reason and maybe, maybe another board here or there.

3 big events in November with attack in Kurram killing 42, the train station blasts killing atleast 25 and now this.

More and more looks like Hybrid or completely out of Pakistan.

Sri Lanka just pulled out of its 'A' tour to Pakistan.

Barsaati maindak aa gaye.
Don’t speak if you have no clue about the country.

Don’t really have the patience, so will sum it up briefly.

1. Violence in the peripheries of Pakistan, meaning Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (where Kurram is) and Balochistan (where Quetta is), is not surprising. There’s a reason not even PSL matches are conducted there.
2. Political rallies and clashes, although not as violent as last night’s, have also been regular since 2014, but they’ve not disrupted any tour yet, because Imran Khan is an ex-cricketer himself and does take that into consideration, while the army wants international cricket for their own PR. So both parties have an interest in not disrupting international cricket.
3. Sri Lanka A’s withdrawal is unsurprising and understandable, but considering what i wrote above, not very relevant for the Champions Trophy. New Zealand withdrew too once, it didn’t amount to much in the long term.

When I wrote what I wrote, I knew this kinda response was coming!

I dont need to have any more clue then what I have for what I wrote. November 29th is 2 days away and with so much drama happening in Pakistan all I said was it does not look good on PCB. Dont give a fearsome tweak about Pakistan or for a matter of fact who hosts. As an outsider I will say what I see just like you guys comment on how and why BCCI puts in martyrs when they want to. My only reply on this! Carry on the bullying otherwise!

Fair.

Simply quoting a fact riles you up so much? I believe people on both sides should refrain from talking about each other's country's as we know so little then. Anyway, here's the link to the mentioned fact.
