sri lanka would have known it would be hard in the first few overs had they watched thursdays match. but england have really let them get away, no way should sri lanka be looking at 220 after being 17-4

though I think playing mendis over thushara is a mistake. I know people talk about the 'mendis factor' and stuff, but this is a quick pitch, and thushara is a quick bowler, I think sri lanka's attack would have been too much for england to even get to 150.

you can see why kulasekera has stepped up at test level. the amount of inswing, and seam movement he can get is ridiculous. (I know these are very helpful conditions but still)

Collingwood of old would have dug in and played a match winning knock here, he won't do it tonight though. Way past his best, but he'll play a decent knock on a flat pitch at the end of the tournament to keep him in the side for the next 6 months.

Slagging Paul Collingwood off always works. =D

Tssh, this pitch a bowling paradise? Don't think so, Collingwood's looking awesome. These are some of the best shots I've seen from him for about 5 months. He seems to have his proper back-lift in place, and is playing his shots. Has looked ridiculously scratchy, playing with no back-lift and a terribly angled bat.

Saying that though, he'll be out in a minute.
