5th Test: England vs Australia at the Brit Oval

That's why I said that they can't defend T20 WC lose if they lose Ashes. They should have win this if they give more imp. to this, more they got more time than England to practise for Ashes.

Does anyone understand what he's going on about?

I don't really see what changes they need to make. I'd stick with Hussey. He's not looked particularly out of touch, consistently made starts and bar a couple of misjudged leaves he's looked ok, and the innings here has been very good. I'd stick with the bowlers, and think they've performed well, they've just lost the key times in the series. All the close moments have seemingly gone England's way. I don't think Australia need to panic and make wholesale changes, they still look a decent side, the series stats prove that. I do see them eventually going to Jaques and Hughes as the opening partnership, as I'm not convinced with Watson and Katich, but they should be stuck with for a little while longer.

Not in his career, averaging 46 overall in his career, and his keeping has shown notable improvement. He'd certainly be up there for me, Boucher and Dhoni would probably come slightly ahead of him, but Prior's not far off.

But now that his keeping is actually decent his batting has faded away a tad. And by mentioning Dhoni and Boucher are you talking about batting+keeping or just keeping?

He is just saying that,if Australia had so much time to prepare for the Ashes, then they should be winning it.

He is saying Aussies paid so much attention to Ashes that they got out in first round and are not even going home with even a drawn series.

I don't think it has. He's looked good at the crease still, and played a couple of nice knocks, but just managed to get himself out late in the series. I think he's capable of averaging over 40 in Test cricket.

As for Dhoni and Boucher, I hold them in higher regard as all-round packages. Prior's possibly slightly better than Dhoni, although it's close, but Boucher's keeping puts him ahead of Prior for me, but again, it's close.

Enough of this postmortem talk gents. Still 5 wickets until I even contemplate celebrating.

From that link:
"Most of their batsmen were born and raised in South Africa"

Pieterson and Trott are apprently most of the England side?

Yeah, it's hilarious to see Aussies whinging and talking crap.

It's over. Lighten up and open a beer.

In test match cricket Dhoni and Prior's batting is quite similar, I can't really split them. Boucher's batting wouldn't be on the same level as though's two, but his keeping is far better.

Dhoni's keeping last time I saw it though (In NZ) was quite poor, he made some pretty basic mistakes.
