While a lot of players from the T20 cup retain their places, there are a few new faces in the squad.

After a sensational 3-match series against the England Lions in Dubai in Feb '10, Imran Farhat has been rewarded with the Captaincy of the Pakistan A team, having impressed the selectors and is once again in National reckoning.

His teammate from the tour and a prolific spinner in the Pakistan domestic circuit, Abdur Rehman earns his cap. Sohail Tanvir will be featuring in the squad as an all-rounder having found the sweet spot on his bat, more often than not.

To overcome a major drawback in the bowling department, with respect to consistency and partnership breaking, Pakistan wishes to announce the return of Yasir Arafat, one of the most successful Pakistan bowlers, not only in the Pakistan domestic structure, but also in English County championship. Having proved himself in all formats, the selectors have decided to retain their faith, in this amazing player, who is all the best All-Rounder and the most consistent bowler in England.

Yasir Arafat has also been named as the Vice-Captain of the team.

In a proactive and revolutionary move, the selectors have also named a batch of 4 persistent performers for Pakistan as Reserves.
