A few HUD/Menu suggestions

just had a rain delayed t20 in career were i walked in at 16.3 , thought will take a couple of balls to settle-down only to find the match ending at 18 overs.Remaining overs displayed on HUD will surely help pacing the innings.

I agree with all of the suggestions here, and good work Matt with the examples you made, that sort of presentation would fit in nicely with the current overlay and offer much improved functionality.

Some very good stuff there matt, one thing I'd probably edit is the order of the columns for bowlers, I think it would be better if it was
Overs. Maidens. Runs. Wkts. Econ.

Just a suggestion, but all in all you've presented it very well and I believe it would be a fantastic addition to the game.

Very much like everything, especially the bowler's screen.

One thing I'd like to add, is to have the fielding positions change based on left/right handed batter. It would really help if it showed correctly.

I'm Biggs and I endorse MattW's opinions. Also; let's get the innings layout correctly displayed on all scorecards...

Also, I would like to expand the "next batsman" drop down display in the same style as Matts suggested bowler one so I can see averages, strike rates and maybe a highest score or something...

What about being able to select new batsman after the existing one gets Out (Th way we select next bowler after the current one finish his over)?
Good idea, would be nice if we could press a button during the replays or while the batsman is walking off to trigger the menu popping up to choose the next batsman. Often I end up wanting to put my pinch hitter on for the last few overs of a T20, but forget to set this up before the wicket falls and then it's too late. Also the case for nearing the end of a day of a FC/test match and wanting to put a nightwatchman in.

Tiny issue this one... But on the scorecard I would rather the format be "300 all out" instead of "300/10". I haven't seen the latter on any TV coverage and it just looks a bit odd to me.

Could go the whole way and make it a full screen thing with all of the bowlers, with some match information to make the screen more useful.

IMO, this is the best option. I would also just get rid of those "Fatigue" indicators and just have the names of each of the bowlers coloured. Green would be "Good" Yellow would be "Tired/50% Fatigue" and Red would be "Fatigued/100% and/or already reached over limit.

There should be a specific layout and design for the HUD in different tournaments, series, matches etc.

Also, say if the batsman is having a good run, they should take a look at their stats in the last couple of games. For example, in a tri series, it shows all of Faf Du Plessis' scores in the series and the commentators talk about him. Something along those lines.

I was really trying to avoid suggesting anything that would require changes to the base design, it's ben made fairly clear that code changes are easier than texture ones.

I also want more stats popups, graphs, etc. but I really wanted to focus on minor tweaks to what's currently there, in the hope that something could be implemented to address some of the functional gaps, an essential information that is missing when trying to make decisions in the game.

Yeah , rather not go for too much graphical changes , just stats , because it *should* be easier to implement that graphical stuff.

because it *should* be easier to implement

In the case of overs/days remaining, extras information, run-rates and so on all that stuff is already being calculated but not shown in any HUD. In other cases, the information is already coded into the scorecard but isn't shown as part of the presentation "flow". I can't imagine any of this is difficult to do but could be time-consuming.

.......yep what Matt said!

Great suggestions here.

Its already by far the best cricket game so far....ever, but with all these little things implemented it would be the perfect cricket game ever ever ever made!

Holy shyt we've waited long for Cricket game of this calibre.

Great suggestion from Matt & everyone.

Yeah it was absolutely worth the wait...If some other game like say EA Cricket 14 or 13 released then it would have been the same...Slog slog and slog then stop playing the game....
