Great start to the season there. Unlucky for Berbatov the partnership of Rooney and Tevez was just too good for him to break.

47-Hargreaves makes a sharp low cross across the box, Rooney slides in for the shot, but just misses as the ball goes out.

52-Kitson on the ball again, through Ferdinand and punches the ball past Van Der Sar. GOAL!


56-Nani passes wide to Ronaldo who switches inside of Shorey and shoots. Good save by Hahnemann.

60-Substitution. Pique on, Veloso off.

66-Duberry makes a run down the wing, he crosses and Doyle heads over the bar.

75-Hargreaves passes a long ball to Rooney. Rooney crosses to Berbatov who shoots, just wide of the bar.

79-Harper has a crack from 20 yards. Just over the bar.

83-Kitson passes to Doyle who is tackled by Ferdinand. Reading appeal for a corner, but are waved away by the referee.

86-Oster shoots from 20 yards, it rebounds off the bar and Doyle shoots it past the goalkeeper, to make it 2-2. GOAL!



89-Nani passes wide to Ronaldo. Ronaldo cross onto Berbatov's head and the goalkeeper saves. Manu appeal for the goal, but are waved away.

91-The whistle blows and the game is over.

Tevez and Simon Bust Up​

The Sunday Times can report that there has been a fall out between the Manchester United manager, Simon and star striker Carlos Tevez. The bust up happened yesterday, in the dressing room after the game and was in front of the whole team. It could apparently be heard by all around the area of the dressing rooms.

Tevez said "He treated me like an idiot. He basically made out the whole performance was bad because of me, even though I came off at half time, when we were 2-0 up. He said my perfomance was lack lustre and I needed to work harder.

Simon said "I was merely pointing out that Carlos' performance was not up to scratch for a team with the quality of Manchester United. I was going to go on and point out several other performances, such as Wayne's and Daniel Alves, but then he threw a wobbly. I have taken the decision to drop Carlos into the reserves for the time being, until he grows up and decides to work hard, along with the rest of the team"

It appears that Tevez will be playing for the Manchester United reserves for the time being. Who will replace him, alongside Rooney?
