Air france jet missing!

guys, it has been confirmed on yahoo that the plane crashed into the atlantic and that the black box(records the flight, and can be used to see what went wrong) will be at the bottom of the sea

our thoughts are with the families who have lost their loved ones

The black boxes could take upto a month to find, and it costs millions to find them when they are at the bottom of the ocean. The battery only lasts 30 days so it's a rush to find it, as without it we will never know what happened

Jeez, you expect this in places like Asia and Africa, but not Air France :noway Looks like it was a lightning strike from what they are saying

Not really, all the airplanes need to be upto certain standards so you wouldn't expect it more from a 3rd world country then a big one.

This might well be on Nat Geo or summat.

Probably in a while. Air Crash Investigation wont be able to start making the ep until the official report is realised, so it could be a while.

It's confirmed by the officials that the plane is crashed! so sad my condolence to the families of the victims :(.

Any reason classified for the crash?

There was an automatic message coming through saying there was a short circuit after strong turbulence, so there are numerous possibilities.

This is horrible news. Plane crashes are so tragic, completely out of the blue. Condolences to the families.

Debris has been spotted where it is suspected that the plane crashed.

Search goes on for missing Air France flight | Herald Sun

How would they get the stuff off the bottom of the ocean? It'd be kilometres underwater.

Condolences to the families.

They use some sort of machine, and they control is from inside somewhere. Costs millions, it's very slow but its the only way to get any sort of justice for the family's.

Not sure on the name, but it can go to the floor of the ocean and pick things up but it takes hours to get from the bottom to the top!

YOu might never expect thisbut these people might have survived and might at some deserted place.Miracles can happen. But a really sad incident.

Asia get one of the best planes in the world e.g. Emirates (UAE), Hong Kong airlines, Japan and many more

I am pretty sure there are some people alive...I hope
Are you serious? Sorry, but it's looking like it landed at least 400 miles or so away from the nearest island (I think). Added to that the likelihood of surviving a plane crash is miniscule at best, especially when it goes into 15,000ft deep water. Unfortunately, I think it's safe to assume there won't be any survivors.:(

RIP.

Your right. Most people would have died on impact, and if any didn't I doubt they would have been conscious.

God, what a quick way to wipe out 228 people aye? Is that more then the amount who died in the Bali Bombings?
