I had a similar problem with forwarding my yahoo mail to outlook and realised that I had missed one small step.

There is no problem at all with your Outlook Express, but with the settings.

Wait,if you're yahoo or hotmail etc. is forwarded to outlook express does this mean outlook express will tell you when you've got posts in yr hotmail account?

I'm just guessing here, but it could be that you haven't checked the option "My server requires authentication"

Go to Tools>Accounts

Select your mail account and click properties

Select the Servers tab and check the box marked "My server requires authentication"

Most programs have a Preferences or Options part somewhere in the menu

i went to the tool menu & selected mail account then I clicked on mail tab (see the red arrow 1) after it i opened properties (see the red arrow 2) then i clicked on the server tab (see the red arrow 3). But there is no "My server requires authentication" check box? :sorry:
