For Sri Lanka super six round becoming too tough to handle... we come close in last game, but couldn't win it... we need desperate win against Australia... I think last match lineup with one change (Lasith Malinga in place of Dilhara Fernando) is good enough to face the challenge of Aussie...

Pakistan's left-arm pace duo of Wasim Akram and Mohammad Amir ran through South Africa's top and middle order leaving them struggling at 161/6, still 91 runs adrift from their target. Jacques Kallis and Shaun Pollock did much to keep the contest alive with a 69-run partnership for the 7th wicket, but the latter's dismissal by Wasim Akram with the score at 230 turned the match in Pakistan's favor once again. Akram and Amir went on to dismiss the last three batsmen quite cheaply to bowl out South Africa for 246, with the former eventually finishing with figures of 5 for 49 from 9 overs.
Jacques Kallis, unbeaten on 81 at the other end could only look on in disappointment as Pakistan celebrated a narrow 5-run victory to further their claim for a semi-final berth.

Chris Cairns had turned the match on it's head by dismissing a superbly in-form Garry Sobers and the plucky Michael Holding in the 46th over to give New Zealand a realistic chance of victory with the West Indies down to their last man still needing a further 16 runs for victory. But New Zealand were fast running out of bowling options having already bowled out Shane Bond, Richard Hadlee and Jacob Oram. Trent Boult was also unavailable having just bowled a superbly tight 47th over during which he only just failed to dislodge Curtly Ambrose.
With an eye towards the final over, New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming decided to give Nathan Astle rather than Chris Cairns a bowl for the 48th over of the innings. He was left to rue his decision as Astle went on to concede two boundaries and a wide to gift the West Indies a 1-wicket victory.
