Almost feel like cheated.

As discussed elsewhere, the quality of the posts seems to have a direct relationship with the posters feelings about the game... if there were more happy customers, there would be less toxicity on the forums...

There's a right way and a wrong way to post feedback on a game's quality. The right way is posting positive constructive ideas about what is wrong with a game and how to rectify it. Shitposting is most definitely the wrong way.

Where do all you people here get the idea that these forums are only for posting feedback on a games quality? This is an internet forum!!! Its for talking about stuff, on the internet...

Note: This thread is entitled "almost feel like cheated", not "Game Feedback"...

Look I accept that the title of the thread that I posted " almost feel like cheated" was bit over the top and uncalled for. I seriously apologize for that. But did people read my whole post? Is it really too much to ask for frequent updates about the progress from the developers or more interaction from their side? It's not like any other game that we spent money on, play for some time and the don't really care about it. Most of us on this forum are passionate about the game. We all want the game to get as close as to a perfect ever cricket game. I'm still tunakful to Big Ants for taking this initiative. My reaction was just an outcome of me getting impatient as I'm too much passionate about the game. My intention was not to badmouth the devoloper. Once again I'm extremely sorry about ti. @BigAntStudios

Moral of the story, we want betas exactly the way as it was in dbc 14. I believe all negative natzis will back off and every "used to be great" factor will be restrored here. Just make it @BigAntStudios please!! If this can't be possible, be kind enough to let us know "why"! In a clear cut manner. As the most engaging and loyal fans, we deserve all of it.

And tell me, how is that working out for you?

Poorly, given the inability of posters such as yourself to show what I assumed would have been an assumed level of general respect and decency.

Maybe its time to stop?
If you are talking about yourself, best thing you have said in ages. Having been a mod on these threads I have nothing but respect for Snowy and his ilk. It really is not an easy task and Snowy is one of the best we have and the only one who is willing to try and bring some order to this swamp of a place. In my time there was genuine respect for mods and you could have real fun and banter with folk. Just take a step back mate and have a look at your posts.....

Yes and no... I can understand why people want BA to post more detailed updates about the patch progress - hell I'd love some more myself- but we have to understand their point which Ross explained.

The game already has a lot of negativity attached. If they now list various issues they say are fixed and the release will be around the end of a given week, and they miss any of that there will be a shit storm, so they understandably avoid making a rod for their back.

Yes they can come on here every Friday and say "we spent 65% of our man hours this week on patch 4, 20% on an unannounced title and 15% on the shitter after a late night stop at a taco cart" but does that give us anything apart from an unfortunate image of MattW dropping one in the sink because all the traps were taken?

Bottom line, if the patch delivers we'll all forget about a few quiet weeks.

Self Identification. Your both at it. Everyones at it. But it is really unnecessary. Patience is all Ross is asking for. Will patch 4 fullfill your dreams - no! But it will be an honest attempt in the right direction by some developers who do actually care. As they have said there's a lot of pressure on them too deliver - wouldnt you want time to make sure you can at least reach some of all of our wants? Will they succeed in this venture - No not entirely but lets not forget cricket gaming history here. (ah, couldn't really find a better way to the end really!):D
He wants patience does he? He much time does he need to fix this mess, another 6 months?

No I don't want time to fix the game AFTER I bought it. The time for patience has long passed.

@Madman as usual is right. The negative atmosphere here is partly because this game was a major let down and is pretty awful.

Honestly the whole "planet cricket used to be my safe space but now you're all mean so we don't talk to you" excuse shouldn't wash at all. Ross hides from the criticism, throws the toys out of the pram and puts everyone who dare criticise the game on ignore and announcing it publicly (like they care) essentially forcing the narrative to be to his liking. The big change between the DBC 14 and 17 era's is the quality of the game. People are frustrated and the frustrations are very much valid.

You got stung, you bought the game straight off the bat (no pun intended) and it had some major issues. If you didn't buy it straight away, you knew it still had some issues but gambled on the fact they would be fixed in the next few weeks.

So put it away in a drawer and revisit it in a month or two. Cricket season is over now anyway, pick it back up in October and everything will be fixed and ready to go for 2017/18 (for Australian based people, at least - the rest of you hopefully it will be fixed by the time your summers begin) :D

You have a number of options, take it up with the retailer you bought it from under your local Trade Practices Act/Australian Consumer Law or similar law in your own home country. If you can prove it doesn't match the description, or doesn't operate as intended, you are 100% entitled to your money back. That's for the retailer to take up with the distributor/publisher. If you are not satisfied with their reply, lodge a complaint with the relevant government body in your jurisdiction.

Finally, refuse to buy their software in future if you feel that strongly about it, but chances are you will all buy the next installment because there is no viable alternative. Alternatively, put your balls on the line (again, no pun intended) and start your own software developer and do it better. Clearly you think there's an opportunity to do it better.
