this two are huge selling book by Dan brown
i am going to buy one of them, but cant chose
please share your thoughts about this book
and which will be better to buy :hpraise

Da Vinci code opened up a can of worms, but if you are expecting edge of the seat thriller kind of stories, I'd suggest you go for Angels and Demons.

My recommendation would be to steer clear of Dan Brown and his awful amateur writing. He writes like a 6th grader. English is my third language, yet I still found myself hurling at some of the sentences that man writes.

He is without a doubt, the worst bestselling Author (as far as writing style and construction goes) of our times.

I read the books ages ago, and agree that they weren't exactly top notch. Typical Airport books really (you buy them while you are waiting for a flight because you have run out of anything else to do because your flight is so late!). I don't really see what the fuss was about and I don't really remember much about them but I do remember thinking Angels and Demons was the better of the two.

Movie - Angels and Demons

Books - Angels and Demons

My favorite book out of the Dan Brown series.

hey thanks Kev and Andrew for your comments
as every body saying A&D is better than DVC ,then i will obviously buy A&D,
thanks to every one,you guys are really helpful :)

Had always thought complementary angles were demonic, never knew I wasn't alone :p.

Will have to go against the trend and say Da Vinci Code was the better of the two. There were many elements of the book I hated about A&D including the mediocre ending that reminded me of the cop out of an ending in The Grail Conspiracy. IMO, there are one of two reasons you would want to read A&D:

1) You like Brown's writing. If so, then the Da Vinci Code follows the same formulaic writing we see in many of Brown's books (I've read them all) including A&D, but DVC is easily his most refined yet, so its a no brainer for me to go for that one.

2) You like the subject. If you're interested in the topic of Illumanti, A&D is basically child's play compared to Illuminatus!, although the latter requires a lot of patience (800 pages) and isn't easy to read. So I'd say skip Brown altogether if you can stomach this classic, if not, then get A&D.

Just to get my two pence (I'm in Scotland atm :p) in, here's how I'd rate all of Brown's books:

1. Da Vinci Code
2. Digital Fortress/Angels and Demons
3. Deception Point

Angels and Demons was definitely better than the Da Vinci Code, and apparently the movie is better too.

Perhaps DVC's overhyping is keeping people from listing it as the better one, but I must be the only one who thinks A&D was written like a bad Bollywood film. Where's Ritwik when you need him?!

I'd probably rate it as:
- Angels and Demons
- Da Vinci Code
- Digital Fortress
- Deception Point

I actually can't recall why I liked Angels and Demons better, was quite a while ago I read it but all I knew was I didn't want to stop reading.
