If you going to make flags, you can make IPL ones the season will be starting.

The flags are supposed to be the common cricketing nations, not every country.

Papua new Guinea, Kenya, Canada, Nigeria, Uganda, Nepal, Hong Kong, UAE etc are not there

The flags are mainly there so users can indicate nationalities in cricket leagues, there would be very little need for IPL team flags or icons. I also don't think any of the IPL logos are readily visible at the required size for a flag.

I would suggest you just make a few examples of the design style you are thinking is an improvement over what is currently there.
