I wouldnt say its being flamed. People are talking of a solid base with good potential......and he hasnt played the game but does a review!!!

I got the game this arvo. Ive played a lot of tennis and a lot of tennis games and sports games. This isn’t good. Not good at all. In fact its one of the worst sports games experiences I’ve ever had.

I suggest getting the game and playing before commenting on it, hun.

I don't know how this could be regarded as a solid base, none of the fundamentals are in place in any decent way. Ball physics (most important thing), pace/patterns of play, court positioning during rallies, CPU player AI, basic animations etc... Can't comment on the control mechanisms but it seems that nearly all shots and serves land EXACTLY in the small circle indicator placed on the court...

Who on earth mo-capped that forehand animation? It is horrendous.

The only positives I could think of are that it has the AO license and can look good in still images (on hard courts). As soon as it's in motion it looks and sounds like complete garbage.

I understand that PS4/XB1 players are desperate for any sort of tennis game, though...

Is there a beta group for this as well?

Post that patch its looking decent but I am sure there are too many things to be explored before coming into conclusion...But these days pushing a game with a huge day 1 patch has become a trend..And selling it off when its hot seems to be the way to go...After a while it just dulls out..
Longevity these days is a hard word to pull off I guess..

(PROVISIONAL) in the title of reviews takes a lot of getting used to, but that's how it works now.

I guess the reason is that games change so much from patch to patch that you can't rate a game the way you used to in earlier days coz the subsequent patch may change the gameplay experience significantly - for the better or worse.

HE does have a point there have been good videos so watch 'them' and in particular watch Gweaver @passwordistaco his videos are so good...

I guess we all watch GWeavers @passwordistaco coverage as that is the best and does look smooth... He can only get better paying the game... ?
