ARGGGGHHHHHHH - This is so fraustrating

Most probably you don't have Visual Basic runtime .dll files in your WindowsSystem directory.
When you try to run the aforeaid programs, does it mention an error, something like unale to find mscvrt/comctl32/msvbsm etc. etc. Then surely you need VB runtimes which come in various 'flavors' ;) VB4,VB5, VB6 etc. The readme files in the install or zip file or in the folder of the installed program will probably tell you which VB runtimes are required.
VB runtime dlls can be commonly found in magazine cover Cds and on the internet.

For the field and stroke editor you need the latest comdlg32.ocx file.In the readme file of the stroke editor I have given a link to download it.

this is really anoying, feild ed + stroke ed can't find it, where should i put comdlg32 so it can see and find it
